i will get straight to the point soneone asked what im here where im from ...........the asnwer is simple im from cyprus im a cypriot, not greek or turkish just cypriot, even though i speak of of the languages, i have nothign to do with the mainland greece or turkey as my ancesters or that my ancesters came from there, thats all super bollox done through education systems in syprus to make you belive all that,........................regardign the article, turkey greece and britain dont give ashit about cyprus they never did they never will everything to do with cyprus concerning these three countries is wahts in it for them nothing to do with out identity or well being or security thats just bollox personified, the three mentioned ex concorours invaders murderes rapist of our island cyprus are not trying to mek us belive we actualy originated at least from two of the said countries meaning greece and turkey,................one can always see further from a maunton top then in the valley in cypriots cases they are all in the valley trying to see wHATS over the next mauntain, they except what they are thought and they never question it. I did not spend any time to read any post in this certain subject. I just saw the title.

My position is that there is not any Cyprus Nation- We have just Greeks and Turks (some of the last coming from Greeks also - became Turkish speaking for survival reasons during the darkness of Ottoman occupation.

I support the position that the Cyprus problem. in addition to the unlaful Turkish army invasion in 1974 , is still open because some foreign interests , with local representatives in Cyprus, convisted a part of Greek citizens that there is a Cyprus Nation including , both, Greeks and Turks.

The today's Greek side of the Island is confused on what they are, what is their routes, language, religion, habits, etc.

Is a shame for a population who's country is under a foreign occupiation to not be able to express itselve in a certain clean and standard language but to use various noices of Turkish/Latin/Greek words to express itselve.

If South Cyprus was populated by persons speaking clean Greek language , having a clear Nationality ID then fanny stories of TC are our brothers would be in the table but a pure a clean position that a small minority of 18 per cent , using the military power of their motherland , are guildy for a, by forced dictaroship and invasion/occupation in the Island.

The land of Cyprus however can not affort on it the skin of people other than Greeks for long.

TCs are really GCs who started to speak Turkish and converted to Muslim religion because of their fear (?) for the Ottomans.

Nice plot! Except for one thing - Greek Orthodox Church was ruling the land at the time - on behalf of the Ottomans!

YES THEIR IS ONE: TCs are were always and are still more "human beings" than Turks in Anatolia- can you imagine why?

like i said before most people in thsi forum talk a lot of shit regarding their identity. espeecialy when it comes to cyprus i dont need to read a whole page to understand what side one is protecting and what side on is standing up for in these arguments in thsi forum, you will say anythign to justify being greeks and turks, and that says it all to me

I told you a thousand times to stop confusing issues like ethnicity with nationality. Yes our roots originate from Greece and Turkey, BUT what defines our NATIONALITY is the interests we have as a nation here, our ethics code, the owing of properties in this place and some 500 hundred years of living together. Even our fights and our slaughtering of each other are things that bound US together.
Your governing system, your everyday lifes, your priorities as individuals and as a state in Greece are different from ours.The same goes for mainland Turkey.

The GCs together with the TCs and other Cypriots are those who de facto make the Cyprus Nation. And we aim at A UNITED CYPRIOT NATION TO BE. Don't try to spread division among us.
