Earthquake!!

Has anybody heard about the earthquake today? Did anybody felt that?
If I remember correct Devil usually knows about those nature things...but if anybody else knows...can anybody tell me if its true that earthquakes can be causes from high temperature?

Devil has not felt anything today, nor our dog who becomes very nervous when they abound.

It id ABSOLUTELY UNTRUE that earthquakes are temperature-related. They are caused by shifts of tectonic plates. Read all about it at http://www.cypenv.org/Files/earthquakes.htm

Come on you must be kidding me...Lots of earthquakes has happened in Paphos and Limassol few years ago...don't recall exact date but of course we had but not very strong ones. And today as they said has happened one and people in Nicosia and Limassol has notice it...not me though!

@Devil

Thanks you devil I already knew about the tectonic plates...I learn those stuff in school years ago and read about them again two years ago for some classes I had. Thanks anyway for the link. Always there to help and correct us... :wink: thanks!!

My wife says it's still some considerable time since she felt the earth move, so I guess by that she means no earthquakes in our part of Cyprus! :?

Was in Limassol most of the day and didn't feel a thing there. Was on tall ladders for part of the afternoon, so that would have been a challenge in staying upright with the ground below me shaking!
