Well me dear we need to make a lot of catch up with you I guess...new member and so many post ...you must been arguing with some people I guess  I will do my homework about you later on so I will have an idea of who you are...knowing to whom I am talking to.

But let me tell you something ...I am a teacher so I read and write proper Greek either I want it or not...I speak with my family and friends in Cypriot dialect if they are GC, but I used to teach my kids in school Cypriot poems and stories. I am not against our special dialect and while I was away I appreciate it more.

Make sure you save all your work from your laptop from now on, so that you don't have to disappear from the Forum, just because your "life's work" did by spilling coffee.

My dear Kikapu, trust me I learned my lesson I back up my documents and important files in the external hard disk, laptop, dvds and my usb memory stick. I might have to learn with the hard way but I do learn from my mistakes. Dont worry I will be around nagging people from now on...if not as much as I used...enough to put some order here – as people used to tell me ....Kidding

Thank you Unkman. I dont have relatives in UK so I guess it will be difficult to have common friends from there.

Hello Lena,
Lucky you, did you miss the floods in the UK?. Looks like out of the frying pan into the fire. Back with all the latest gossip. Please dont stop.
Nice to have you back. Now its my lap-top up the spout.

Hello my dear,

Yes I left just the right time I guess. I worried a bit for some of my friends that had projects in some of the areas that are in danger but I got out of it in a very good time. And trust me I don't miss UK at all (apart from the very fast Internet). By the way is better to be in the fire than in the frying pan.

What happened with your laptop? Hope is not coffee thing as well...because I said...KEEP ALL KIND OF DRINKS AWAY FROM YOUR COMPUTERS!! Sorry for yelling but I learn a valuable lesson. Anyway hope is not too serious because i missed you as well and it will be nice to have you back and arrange that tavli-coffee thing that you promised me!!

Well, it was before the floods you see. My lap-top failed to boot up, so I sent it packing back to DELL. They said they found traces of water/ liquid
inside the machine which ruined the motherboard. It wasnt me or my wife spilling coffee over it. Then I remembered that I placed the LT on its side by my desk and a sideboard. On the sideboard was a pot-plant which my wife regularly waters. I guess that water was spilt during the operation or water overflowed from the plate holding the pot. My wife (from now on refered to as Anna) denies this. But now it has become an insurance case, she had to accept it. Currently using my granddaughters PC. (baby-sitting again) She is nine-now. Birthday last week.

I hope your studies went well. I have not forgotten the tavli/ coffe challenge!.
Regards
