Stay away from Landrover regardless if it looks superb and your mechanic says its all fine... especialy its a 1.8 Petrol one... how many times have you change that head gasket? what about viscous coupling? clutch? transfer box? gear box?

Landrovers are crap... even Pilakoutas mechanics told me to get rid of it asap, everyone just gave up... even latest Range Rovers and Discos have huge reliability problems... dont tell me to have a good life, my life has got much better after i got rid of that British made piece of shit.

Dear Ray,
didn't you sell a Land Rover as well a couple of months ago and praised the car here in the forum, how beautiful and reliable it is and so on and so forth.....????
Should this make me think about yr posts twice???

CyprusFan81, yeah... whats not logical in here? i had to get rid of it... simple. I took it to a mechanic with the guy who bought it...and a mechanic said its in perfect condition. well, i met him a week ago and he said that the whole engine blew... :D

Not my problem anymore...

Nice attitude... makes me think a bit about yr character... by the way: was the mechanic expensive or did he make it for a bottle of good Whiskey :?

i have land rover freelander. When i bought it my friends told me not to. i bought it in 2000 2nd hand when it was 1 year old. I had it for 5 years NO PROBLEMS. """"PERFECT""""" i treat it as a landrover should (my wife doesnt know) In the last 1 1/2 years its braking down all the time i've changed fuel pumps, water pumps, gaskets and shit load other. at the end the engine went...... I had it overhauled in order to sell it....and you know what ......i dont want to sell it because its just perfect.....its one of them things :?

FOR SALE ...ALFA ROMEO-SUZUKI VITARA SOFT TOP-LAND ROVER

Postby sofo13 » Sun Aug 12, 2007 10:16 am

We all have had our bad experience with car reliability, mine being a BMW and always promised myself not to touch one.It does not mean all BMW are crup.Same with Land Rovers. The buyer of this Land Rover was ecstatic, even phoned 3 days later complementing the car,how good it was, andwas very happy. :D :D :D
