OB1, i've spent 5000 in 18 months on fixing it...
GEar Box, Transfer Box, Differential, shitloads of Engine Sensors, 2 times clutch... loved the driving and all, but these problems really made me sell it.

sofo13, same with mine... i had to fix it before selling it, i am not a crook or something, i bought it for 5000, threw 5000 on top of it to fix it and sold it 2 years later for 4000, do i look like an asshole to you?

The guy who bought it took it to his own mechanic who checked it throughly and said it was in perfect condition.
Well, i made a deal then that guy have been driving it for 6 months problem free and then the Engine went... it will always be like that, 6 months driving, 2 months fixing and your car is not an exception.

Sorry Berbi,Suzuki is been sold too.Now we only have the Alfa Romeo for sale.

Have to admit that the Freelander (petrol's) aren't all that good. They were fitted with a whoefully inadequate wobbly k-series engine that just couldn't take the punishment of hauling a tubby 4x4 around. It's a shame because they are nice to drive. I've done my fair share of engine repairs on them (i'm a mechanic) so know this to be fact.
