Penera

Postby leeandbec » Mon Jul 23, 2007 9:03 pm

We are a young couple travelling to penera near protaras at the end of august. We are staying at the Domniki apartments and are looking for advice on the local area. We like a lively night out but not 18 - 30's and like to explore different places to eat. Any advice or info on our apartments and things to do in penera/ protaras would be gratefully received
Thanks Lee and Bec

Hi,

penera is a lovely seaside resort and great for relaxing during the day.
by night there are several bars, which are used by tourists and locals alike.
Protaras has the best beaches on the island (fig tree bay)
plenty of restaurants of different nationalities and lots of bars - most of a family bar nature.
if you want that big night out a taxi to ayia napa will cost you about 10-15cyp eachway (always set your price before you leave for your destination?
Ayia thelka jut past ayia napa has the best waterpark onthe island also
strongly recommmend you visit.
sorry i do not know anythin about your apartment, but if you type it in google you will get some idea.

hi lee n bec,
The dominiki apts are rite on the beach at pernera one of the best beaches around, never stayed there but they look nice. Good bars for a lively nite in pernera are Knights pub and Windmills on the main road thru pernera and the waterloo pub at the top of the road if u turn right out of the dominiki. if u turn left out of ur apartments and walk towards protaras on the beach road theres a sea side taverna called safiros great for an afternoon meal n beer!! Try Blue Bay restaurant right in the beach monday nites for traditional and lively cyprus nite. Italian rest directly oppsite seagull hotel is brilliant il cultura del gusto i think its called. Other nice places to eat are Fresh house, cordon bleu, chopsticks chinese. Enjoy it its a great place im sure you will.
