Poll shows outlook glum for a solution

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

You are the ones who are trying to use the coup as an excuse for illegally occupying Cyprus. The fact is that the coup did not and does not excuse the occupation of Cyprus by Turkey.

This is why you are brainwashed day and night to remember those days. So like good parrots you can repeat your lame excuses over and over and continue with crimes and illegalities against us.

No iceman, imo you are trying to hung on the results a stupid and WRONG poll, rather than learning the truth.
I doubt there is even 1 in 1000 GCs who doesn't know a coup happened to overthrow Makarios and then a week later Turkey invaded.

I never tried to excuse the the events of 20th by using the coup, but admit it it was a bloody good excuse you gave Turkey to do what they did......all i am saying is that from what i see you seem to be brainwashing your people by ignoring the coup & telling them that Cyprus problem started on the 20th of July 1974 when Turkey invaded..

Iceman, TCs know only the dates that suit them. Do you think any of them would know what happened on July 9, 1821, for example?

The Cyprus problem as it exist today did in fact start on 20th of July 1974 when Turkey invaded. Of course this doesn't mean that before there was no problem. There was, just not in the form that it exists today. The Turkish invasion of 1974 was the last (so far) major event in the chain of events that started back in 1571 when the Turks first invaded the island.

As VP will tell you nothing happens out of the blue. Thats true for everything except the initial event that kick starts the chain.

The question is if we will finally cut this chain and establish in Cyprus a democratic country like all the rest, or if we will continue the chain of conflict trying to find excuses to punish and harm each other for several more rounds.

One thing I have noticed during my time in this forum, when it doesn’t go the way the GC's like, it is “stupid and wrong” or something in a similar vein, funny that really don’t you think?

Quite right. Actually, the ones that that use the words “stupid and wrong” in such instances are only: moderate. 8)
