VP for the sake of your reputation on this forum you better find something. Quoting i read it at my aunts house and then the dog ate the paper is not good enough. This is a serious allegatation and i for one will not stand by and let you get away with this if this is a lie.

Calm down if no other TC confirms this story then I will scan the article and put it online for you but it will be in Turkish. I have asked my aunt to save the Kıbrıs covering the story.

You could always email Kıbrıs and ask for the story it was on page 22 paper dated 21/7.

scan it anyway.

Why do you doubt my word? and will you aologise when I post the story?

Apologize for what sweety? For driving everybody crazy with your little secrets?

Btw here's a little lesson for you that might help you conceal your gender better. A real man does not say apologize to me, he says here's the evidence F*CK YOU.

VP I want you to prove to me that this happened in Makariou.
"A family of TCs who went south on the 20//7 thinking they were safe and firm supporters of trusting GCs and reunification were beaten up and spat on by angry GCs, was this reported in your press?"

You can make a start by at least posting something from the TC paper you claim to have read this. ( only one? Would've thought Volkan and Vatan would be all over this?)

On the 20th of July, after spending three hours shopping in Nicosia, while driving on Makarios Avenue,Yucedal familys car was attacked by about 200 GC's who were protesting the 20th of July aniversary...While driving in trafic, their car was attacked by these protesters kicking the car and using flag poles, bottles and sticks to hit the vehicle..
luckily the traffic was not very busy on Makarios Avenue so they managed to speed away.
Mete Yucedal has said, since the checkpoints have opened they had been crossing over frequently for shopping but after this incident they will not be crossing over again.
Esra Yucedal said,we were attacked from the passenger side of the car where i was sitting..I was shocked and terrified, they swore abuse and spat all over me..cannot describe the nightmare we went through..but the worst was seeing the police watching everything and not reacting at all...I will never be crossing over again and do not want any peace with these people..
Tamer Yucedal has said,"I have arrived from London through Larnaca 10 days ago..I have been using Larnaca since the checkpoints opened, but after this incident i will not be using Larnaca anymore:ı will cancel may return ticket and travel back to London from the north..I will be telling this bad experience to newspapers when i get back to London..I dont know how these people were accepted into EU...
We,as a family have been firm supporters of peace & unification in Cyprus but now i see it is not possible to have peace with these people"..

Kıbris newspaper has noted that on the same day, smaller but similar other incidents were reported to the newspaper by phone..

I think an apology by those who accused the source of this thread as a "liar" and used insulting language would now be very appropriate! :D

thx iceman...don't thik i'd trust anyone elses's translation.

This is a story of a family who has had there car vandalised by a bunch of thugs on the anniversary of the invasion. Looks like the tc car went straight into their demonstration.

WHile i condemn this and the idiots that vandalised that car i have a few points to make.

1) The anniversary of the invasion is the most sensitive of days. Memories of getting kicked out of your house and 6000 gc's dead make not a pleasant day. Especially when you know the other side is celebrating on your tragedy.
2) We have thugs over here like there are thugs over there (Grey Wolves have a party now from what I see....3rd biggest) Hrisi Avgi has been made illegal here and in Greece however there are still 20-30 of them around.
3) "TC family got beaten up in Makariou" is not what has happened here as VP quotes. They drove into a anti-occupation rally on the day of the invasion and a number of thugs started beating their car with flags. (according to kibris)
4) I apologise for the idiots that did this yet wonder if VP would apologise if the Grey Wolves sprung up on a GC car.....

All the people were asking for was a link to the story. Besides, the fact that this story did not make it to frontpage in all the press is enough to doubt its accuracy. No eyewitnesses, just the testimony of the "victims" which could be very inaccurate if not completely false
