Homesick

Hi

After many years in Cyprus I'm starting to get really homesick (Scotland). Anyone else got a yearning for home?

3 days in London is like a prison sentence. Do not miss it at all. What's to miss????

Nah. The company I contract for in the UK (I work from home in Cyprus), just had the yearly BBQ (in Slough). My colleague reckoned that if it stopped raining he might get some food (last year was rainy and windy as hell). Plus we used to regularly get emailed from the 24hr security team about the risk of stabbings in the 24hr security camera gated *car park* of the offices. Nice.

Cheers

Why don,t you go home for a wee holiday. Maybe that will help you. I know it might be expensive to do that but at least you might benefit in the long run. I intend to retire to Cyprus but I know there will be times when I,ll miss Scotland. But I also know that once the craving to see Scotland again is satisfied I,ll be wishing I was back in Cyprus. I know, as you do too, that when the sun shines in Scotland, there is no more beautiful place in the world but thats a rare event and its very expensive to live here. Try to remember all the reasons you had for leaving in the first place, They will still be valid. If you have the finance I think it would be money well spent to get over to Scotland for a break and i,m sure it will go a long way to curing your home sickness.
