So how come you trust and believe the GC politicians? They have a terrorist for a president, the man should be tried for war crimes and yet you have no problem believing and trusting him. Kikapu are you on drugs?

Good morning mrfromng,

What part of my last post said anything about believing a GC politician, PapaD or any other Cypriot politician, be it be GC or a TC. I'm just asking the question, where are all these countries that are hearing the TC's cries as being "oppressed" by the RoC. VP made the claim, so I wanted to read about them, because all the news sources I tend to read, does not mention anything of the sorts, so I need help locating them, that's all.

Kikapou,
In common with all small island races we like to think that the World revolves around us. It will shock us and psychologically harm us to realise that our total population is less than, say, The Bronx in New York. So please let us have our last remaining illusion, GC's and TC's, that the world's population is actually listening to us.

Every incident makes us more determined to get the TRNC recogniized, you tried to get our folk dancers thrown out of the Wales show but they told you to go take a hike and the TRNC flag was put on a massive screen and our children sang and danced amongst other countries just like it should be. These will increase and gradually you will loose your control as countires will get fed up with your lack of desire for resolving the problem and constant demand for exclusion of TCs from every international platform.

VP has obviously convinced himself that the “TRNC” is a country and there’s nothing anyone can say that will change his mind so stop wasting your breaths everyone. My only query is if VP is so convinced that they are independent and so close to “recognition” what’s he doing on this forum?

What exactly do you want from us VP because from our “goodwill” you’re not getting jack-shit if you haven’t already realized and all you can expect from us in the future is even more pressure and a very likely possibility of a military confrontation when the time is right for the RoC.

The Greek Cypriots DO NOT accept this “TRNC” crap so don’t get too comfortable there because you DO NOT have the permission of the indigenous people of Cyprus to “own” any contiguous part of this island and form any kind of independent entity that you aim.

So quit making laughable complaints like “we are embargoed” because you just look stupid and we don’t want to hear anymore of your absurdities; we’ve had a gutful already. Any problems your people may be experiencing today are brought about by your leaders so go and complain to them not us.

GR we have already established our own country the TRNC, albeit only recognized by Turkey we are here to stay unless you come to your senses and realize that you have to share a future union equally with TCs. Until that time incidents like this show the world exactly how isoalted we are and who are the cause, keep up the good work. Do you believe it will bring you what you want? if so do your worst. Even if that means a military confrontation but dont expect us to take it sitting down we will fight back with everything we have but please dont cry about your number of deaths as you only have yourselves to blame like in 1974, some people never learn.

I have also established the AIROP (Aapapa Independent Republic of Paphos), albeit not recognised by anybody but I am here to stay unless you come to your senses and realize that you have to share a future union equally with me, but on my terms. Until that time incidents like the Harringay Ladies netball team refusing to meet AIROP's champions The Crazy Ladies Elite show the world exactly how isolated AIROP is and who are the cause.

Good for you, do you have your own army, police, parliament, MPs schools airport, universities, does your word have equal weight? etc etc and did you have a partnership agrrement and rights to where you live? did you ever own or rule that country?

We are not just any other country we have a unique past which has brought us to where we are today, without safeguards our future "together" will not be established or developed, the sooner you realize this the sooner you will move forward.

I wish you would for once tell us what these safeguards are. We had a veto power on everything in the 1960 Constitution, and look where it got us, because it was totally unworkable.

Is that what safeguards means to you, to have a veto power on every decision a President makes. If so, go back to the 1960 Constitution and see how far the country will move forward.

Would it not be better to have these kinds of safeguards instead, where a majority rule in a power sharing by both communities, in a proportionate manner.

Kifeas wrote:If we have a house of 100 members (80 GCs plus 20 TCs) and decisions are taken on simple majority, it means that at least any 51 members out of the above 100 members will have to approve it. However, in order to qualify as simple majority, at least 4 (or 6) of the votes must come (included in the 51 votes needed) from the 20 TCs (20% or 30% of the TC members,) and at least 16 (or 24) of the votes must come from (included in the 51votes needed) from the 80 GCs.

For example we can have the following combination for simple majority to qualify.
I take a special case example that needs 30% minimum from each side.

Case 1:
6 TCs plus 45 GCs equals 51 /100. (Qualifies)

Case 2:
20 TCs plus 31 GCs equals 51 /100. (Qualifies)

Case 3:
5 TCs plus 46 GCs equals 51 /100 (it doesn’t qualify)

Case 4:
1 TC plus 80 GCs equals 81 /100 (it doesn’t qualify)

I'll try to hold my breath just a little bit longer, just to get an honest answer from you.

Oh dear dear. I cannot get an honest answer (any answer) to my question. No wonder the world is not listening to the TC's cries, because those who are crying are not able to explain, what is it that they are crying for.

Pyro,

I'm sure the children are fine, as long as nobody speaks Greek around them.

Having said that, VP claimed to have gone shopping with his daughter to the RoC in the past.

Perhaps they kept their ipods on all the time listening to Turkish music to feel at home.

Yes it is true, that I'm being ignored, even though I'm trying to help him clarify his messages that he wants the world to hear the plight of the TC's who are oppressed by the GC's with the isolation and embargoes. Never mind, that the BMW are selling their cars at record level in the "TRNC" as well as flat screen TV's are going like "hot cakes", and now mrfromng reports, you can even get Hammer Trucks as well as top of the line other Luxury cars. With embargoes like this, who needs Free Trade.!!

Like I said before, I do not wish to call people names anymore, but will editorialize their posts and ask questions. That's why I ask questions to posts from VP and others, and if he and others chooses not to answer them, then others will look at their original messages unfavourable, if they does not answer my questions to them.

I just let people draw their own conclusions as to why they do not answer our questions Pyro.

I wanted to say something for VP but I changed my mind Kikapu. I just don't want to be too pushy on this person.

You are doing the right thing with editorialising their posts and asking questions. Let's just hope you get some answers, it would be interesting for everyone to read .

About what goes on in the northern part, i am very consfused to say the least. Even my own TC taxi driver has bought a brand new Mercedes lately, TOP OF THE MODELS. Fully electronic inside, leather seats every luxury you can imagine. Yet the man doesn't have enough work, and that's true, I can see it with my own eyes. Last time he only had me for a couple of hours in the afternoon and then he would take someone at the airport and that's all.

Yet he bought the new Mercedes at about half the price he would have bought it if he was residing in the RoC controlled area. It seems there are no taxes in the northern area, luxury products are very cheap.

VP you know that Papadopoulos has nothing to do with the stalemate we have been in stalemate for 33 years. And you guys have been celebrating the Turkish invasion and talking about partition please. The Papadopoulos thing is just an excuse not to move anywhere but partition.

You have forgoten to metion right of return for refugees and you have also not allowed for the trust to be build a strategy that indicates unification. Mt response was talking about unified business comerce. I PERSONALLY DO NOT TRUST YOUR REGIME TO ALLOW FOR UNIFICATION ONCE YOU GET DIRECT TRADE.
