More refugees will return if ...

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby magikthrill » Sun Feb 20, 2005 5:18 pm

Yes I was referring to your partition plan in the other thread I just didnt want to continue it in that thread.

Another quesitno and opinon:

assuming some TCs would prefer to stay would they not be allowed at all?

also if this were ever to be achieve a good way to go about it is by giving back areas to GCs that are mostly inhabited by settlers now, since they obviously deserve less than TCs.

Note the lack of TC replies. It shows how far appart GC's and TC's are on the main issue.

1) TC state is the 29% of the island and 33% of its population is allowed to be GCs

or

2) TC independent state is 18% with no refugees returning in that 18% (but would be able to return in an additional 11% of the island under GC admin).

I just wonder.

No,i don't want a %18 independent state.So i don't agree with second alternative.

I accept "TC state is the 29% of the island and 33% of its population is allowed to be GCs"

So you accept permanent %33 ratio? Turkish Cypriot Constituent state's %33 can be GCs at max.

You are calculating %33 of GC population in Cyprus?
No,this is impossible. If %33 of GC population in Cyprus settle in North than this means we become minority.

why is it that you would refuse to accept a permanent partisian of 18%? Is the land not enought or other reasons?

I am generally eager in discussing all options brother. Peace seems very much against it and I would like to hear his reasoning.

What so eager to avoid partition?

No,i can't imagine Cyprus divided and when passing to other side showing passports as permanent. Also i hate customs when passing from one side to another.

So if %18 would be pure independent TC state my country will be north only? :? I want to say our country to whole Cyprus.

I think most people would like that. Check out the 18% - 82% Partition thread to read the discussions on the topic. [/url]

eager to avoid it because that was not what is envisioned in my mind as a solution to the cyprus poblem, either this is our country or the turks and greeks as partition in my opinion kills off the cypriot identity.
