Hi. I will be moving to Cyprus in September and need some help to complete a degree course in Counselling. Does anyone know of any Counsellors in Cyprus? I am particularly interested in someone who is registered in the UK with the BACP practicing in People Centred Counselling. Any ideas would be very welcome. Regards Pam.

Dave-H, welcome to the forum, can't help you with your enquiry I'm afraid, but if you need a few people to practice your skills on, I am sure you will find plenty of candidates around these fishing grounds.

Hi Eliko. Thanks for your reply. I have just completed my Certificate in Counselling but I really need to do a higher qualification before I start practicing. I’m hoping to get a placement with a Person Centred practice to save me flying back to the UK every month. I am a qualified mediator too. So if you know of any good arguments perhaps I could help ! :lol:

How about chancing your arm and testing your mettle in some of the current 'discussions' on this forum?.

Hi Dave,
Theres a great need for counsellors here.......... but nobody wants it.
l too have qualifications which l have studied all my career. but they dont amount to muchIN Cyprus l'm afraid.

what type of counselling ? expand on what you do ..are able to speak more than english ...give us more info ..and i may be able to point you the right direction ...we definitaly have centres here ...

Oranos/Sweetie - Thanks for your responses. I am using a joint account. My name is Pam. I have just started my Degree in Person Centred Counselling with the Metanoia Institute in London. I am taking a career break to be with my husband who is seconded to Cyprus for two years. I need to find a BACP accredited Person Centred Counsellor for weekly therapy for the two year period. Additionally, I need to find a placement to practise my counselling with Supervision. This does not need to be in place until early 2007.
