Limassol Customs Office?

Postby murf62 » Tue Jul 17, 2007 9:06 pm

Well, I have just wasted half hour of my life trawling through the Customs & Excise website trying to find the opening times of the Limassol office at the port (the place where you transfer ownership of duty free cars) to no avail.

Does anyone have the info to hand? In particular, are they open in the afternoons or on a Saturday?

No, I’ve only ever been there in the morning – and Saturday seems extremely unlikely for a government office…

Yeah, we went in the morning. Pretty much everything should be handled early on a weekday morning in Cyprus for an easier life. :)

Cheers

Hi Murf

They work from 8:00 till 2:00 pm except Thursday. Which is from 8:00am till 4:00pm

Saturday and Sunday (closed no customs available),

Their number is: 25 819 200

I hope this helps.

Thanks all,

CV, are you sure it's 4pm on a Thursday? I rang them today and they told me 7:30 - 2:30 Mon - Fri.

I wonder if Cyprus will ever accept the fact that there are 7 days in a week & not 4 1/2 as they seem to think at the moment?

Murf

The details where given to me this morning after I emailed our import agent at Limassol!

Also - All goverment offices stay open on a Thursday afternoon, to justify why they close early EVERY other day...

Apart from the Police - they open/closed when they feel like it!!!

Thanks for the replies.

Do not Government offices close on Thursday afternoons in July and August as it is 'too hot' to work (in spite of their a/c offices)?
