Car thermometers are an unreliable guide; tempertures should be measured in controlled, shadey, positions. Yesterday's maximum was 32C according to the weather stations, with a maximum of 31C forcast for the rest of the week.

Yes, in direct sunshine you will get 40C+, but only crazies (and tourists) sit in the sun

You are extremely brave going in July!!! I love the sun and heat but that would be too hot for me. We were in Paphos from 1st June for a week to renew our wedding vows, and had a fab week. The weather was lovely and hot, but not too hot. We tend to go either in June or September. Anyway, have a fantastic time. Paphos and the surrounding villages are lovely...lots to see
