What GC attitudes do TCs consider 'exremist'

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Who is stopping?
Reciprocal concession. The regulations for GCs would be valid for us too.
If we want to reach an agreement we should give equal concessions.None will give more.

We spoke to both of them recently and they told us that they would never leave our land and it was upto the goverment of the ROC to compensate us, i asked why they would not leave and they told me that they had spent 30 years building these very profitable business and it was the finest location and they would not want to give back the original owner his property back as they now see it as theirs.

brother i think that is horrible.

i bet its bastards like them that voted yes for the annan plan, who put their own interests above their country's.

I know it is but on the other hand i understood what they were saying and they are not bad people but 30 years is a long time and this is such a tricky situation on one hand we want our land back on the other we understand that others have made a life and above all we are all victims of circumstance.

So confused....... :?

Ummm... Either I need to state the obvious here or I'm missing something...

I voted 'yes' and I don't have any businesses on TC land, or any direct financial stake in the solution.

Sounds like a GC that can understand my feelings, about my house I have built in the north on a land I have bought from a TC, which was initially given the land in return for his land in south....

Hmmm...

The only thing I should add to this is that in a political participation everybody would vote with their pockets. As simple as that.I do not believe that people would vote for a proposal which they loose substantially economically without being compensated in some ways. EVen if thatis for better for the whole. Human beings are individualistic. Basic tenents of capitalism....

I have said in another thread, and let me reiterate again. I think there will always be a portion of GC society that will always would vote no even a solution based on unitary state like the one Piratis and likes are offering. Because there is a decent amount of GC society that will gain nothing with any solution because they have never left a land in north, but at the same time will loose substantially because a bigger government means bigger spending which in return means a bigger tax bill for everybody.

So in order to get these people to vote yes you would need to offer some type of other incentives for them to say yes, and I don’t know what those incentives are. May be they would view the leaving of Turkish troops as something they are willing to pay for, but again may be not!!!!

Take care,

turkcyp,

these people were not bad people and they now have thriving business on our land, and even though we feel a little bitter we do understand their point of view, so where we go from here....?

Yo, brother, it's all good, no worries. It just struck me as odd coming from Magik, that's all. I know he didn't mean it like that.

CUZ IF HE DID I'M GONNA RUN HIM OVER WITH MY TRUCK
