SN you are right about having the courage to question our own existence in order to have the courage to critisize the oponent, however, on this forum most turkish speaking cypriots never question or challenge the posistionof their leadership and use everything said by greek speaking cypriots to fuel the blame to one side. After a while one gets a bit jacked off by the lack of responsibility taken by the so called other side.

Perhaps if we realised there is only one side ours as Cypriots then we wont have to defend or critisize one side or the other. We would then only criticise the one system that has come to govern us.

Notwithstanding the above, i am sure the film could easily have interchanged the TCs for GCs and the same story would be told over.

Sadly, i have to say, by bringing these sort of images to the present, just stirs up the feelings again and i think that even though these people should be remembered, we need to let go if we are ever to move on.

I read it in a posting further up, I now think that these topics have made me more bitter than ever, the insults, the blame game, bad feelings. I think i might just ease off a bit and see if my feelings change.

It might be easier for GCs to move on with their countless resolutions, fancy websites and what-not but we hardly even have acknowledgement from some GCs let alone the world about what happened to our people, the dust has NEVER settled for the TCs, they're stuck in a time warp and will be untill people show a bit of understanding

Us as TCs KNOW what our people went through, but during and since those event some GCs leaders have been playing these things down and manipulating things for their benefit which has caused an UNREPAIRABLE amount of mistrust and resentment.

I am very well aware of what happened to GCs, and even though I'm sorry I would be EVEN MORE sorry if more GCs understood our point of view sometimes.

Instead we get called liars, thieves and brainwashed individuals. That really hurts and it makes even the most peacefull people turn ugly against the GCs.

Our wrong-doings are as documented as your wrong-doings. However the wrong-doings and crimes of Turks against us just happen to be way more, and lasting way more time. This is a historical fact.

Unfortunately instead of acknowledging this historical fact, you are trying to equate everything by exaggerating the crimes of GCs against you by a factor of 100.

Take for example the case of the missing. There are way more GCs missing, and way more were recently exhumed as well. Now compare how the two sides handle their funerals:

Our side not only has acknowledged our own wrong doings, but has also officially condemned the actions of the Junta, EOKA B and the other GC terrorists that killed innocent people.

On the contrary the TCs celebrate the day of the invasion and our ethnic cleansing, they honor the terrorists of TMT and the murderous Turkish occupation army, and even worst they selectively use the past as an excuse to continue with illegalities and crimes against us as we speak.

The films of Agastiniotis were supposedly made to be watched by GCs. Unfortunately they are used for Turkish propaganda, and I am sure Agastiniotis knows very well how his films are used already. Apparently since he is an employee of the pseudo state that doesn't bother him at all.

Personally instead of one sided films I would prefer if films were made that showed the whole truth and not just a small part of it which can create a very wrong impression to people that don't know the whole story.
