Kafenes , with due respect cancer patients need much more than just treatment this is why in our Western world irrespective of the sufferers financial situation the patient receives a weekly allowance to assist towards those little comforts that make life easier .
In the UK the most famous Cancer Hospital is the Royal Marsden and if it wasn't for the donations it receives may of its services to the patients would be not as good as they are today. When a donation towards a cancer association is made , no questions as to the recipients ethnicity should be made as it is totally irrelevant , it is purely a humanitarian gesture.
In the UK , the two Royal Marsdens Hospitals , one in Fulham and the other one in Surrey , look after patients from the four corners of the world , no discrimination is exercised since all agree that cancer knows no ethnic boundaries .

I fear the controversy preceding your appeal (particularly since you are a new member), may well have had an effect which could prove detrimental to your cause.
I already make contributions to an organisation in the UK and would be reluctant to subscribe to yours on account of the foregoing.
