How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Funny you mentioned that. I read it as well that the General (Head of the occupation forces) over there has splurted out that he considers Cyprus the ancestral home of the Turks and that so far the Turks have only liberated half of the island. The rest needs to be liberated as well.

I'll dig up the article and post it.

Ignore him DT. He probably came from the same school where they tell you that Turks descended from the Hittites. Now where did I hear that? Scythians more likely, but Hittites!!
Going off a tangent again?
Regards
DA

Probably the same school that reckons Homer was a Turkish poet who went by the name of Omer Bay until the thieving Greeks pinched him and declared him as one of their own

Or the same school that Shakespear was indeed a moslem Poet whos real name was in fact Sheikh Pir!!

Regards
DA

Brilliant! I've never heard that. I like this Sheikh Pir!!

VP, having read *all* ur posts, u are very anti - Greek and extremely narrow - minded for someone who lived in the UK.

You are a good example, of why we have a "Cyprus problem" and why it continues to exist.

Reality is difficult to ignore, you can bury your head in the sand but I wont. The TCs and Gcs communities in Pile have nothing to do with each other..they could living ay opposite ends of the island it would be the same.

For all we know, they could be "boinking" each other.

I want some one to prove otherwise if they do not think so.

Hi all!

Im new to this forum, and this is my first post :)

Reading the previous posts, noone mentioned Pyla.

It is a very special village in the Larnaca district. It is the only village that is still inhabited by all the original greek and turkish cypriots, they wanted to remain there and agreed in 1974.

They live there with no problems.
Thats probably why the TCs and GCs have separate coffee shops, football teams, restaurant, market....etc
http://www.dw-world.de/dw/article/0,,1025809,00.html

Who ever wrote that article, is a little clueless. They could have at least spelt "Cypress" correctly. Must have been an American from California, where there are a lot of "Cypress Trees".

As for the citizens of Pyle / Pile not interacting, is another false claim. It is true that there are cafes and restaurants owned by both GC's and TC's, as it is the same in London, but that does not mean that people of this village do not visit each others establishments. When I was there April of this year, half the people at the "Turkish Cafe, were in fact GC's, playing Tavla together.
And I buy all my clothes from a TC in Pyla. Man he is tough negotiating the prices, but I like him.
No my brother you the one who does not ... know how to spell.
The correct spelling is "Cyprus" or "CYPRUS"
learn this for today and you do well

I also suggest you learn to write proper English before you even consider entering an intellectual discussion with anyone in this forum! Your posts are full of childish mistakes and I am not exactly sure what it is that you learned in America, neither am I impressed with what service people have on offer! It is not any proof that anyone is using them... If you are looking for clients, you better start being more polite to people.

ALLAHUEKBER!

By the way, I am off for the weekend - I look forward to reading more of your garbage on Monday...
