GCs have hijacked nothing, YOU have chosen to live separate. Turkey has turned the RoC into a GC run state, and you support this. Turkey did not uphold the constitution (a legal obligation) and instead has attempted to destroy it. You support racial segregation and so does Turkey. You have far more rights than us, as you are occupying 37% of the island with 18% of the population, and YOU choose to have the island under occupation, we don't. So how is this the same rights? Following on Simons comment I would also like to say that in Cyprus 2007 turkish speaking Cypriots have more rights that greek speaking Cypriots they have the freedom to move freely in their country as they wish. Greek speaking cypriots DO NOT.

Simon you should really calm down, as you are no doubt aware from 1963 to 1983 we negotaited till we were blue in the face to try and bring back constitutional order what was the end result? the TRNC was declared and has been functioning ever since recognized or not. Turkey has brought stability to the area, have you not been living peacefully for the last 33 years? have you not prospered? do you not have recognition? are you not in the EU? do you not have a pure GC state? etc etc... obviously the 1960 to 1974 period is more desirable as it gave you a free hand to do what you wish against a much smaller and weaker community. Where were our constitutional and human right back then...no one was claiming we are all Cypriots or that TCs should be treated equally, you had your chance back then now everything has changed and you have to see us as equal partners on the other side of the negotiating table, our YES or No is just as effective as yours, something you should always bear in mind.

As for this 18% 37% balance everyone keeps throwing up, where in the world has land distribution ever been calculated according to population %, get over it, if that were the case the Scots would have to give back 60% of Scotland and the Americans 100% of USA.

Nicely put VP! But the problem is having to see the truth in true colours, when you are wearing coloured sunglasses!

In any case the % of what will belong to whom is all a matter of negotiations ONCE people are ready to sit down and negotiate. I find it a waste of time to even discuss such matters between ourselves - plus or minus 2% it will definitely be decided around 30% - so what is the big deal?
