There are better ad hoc devices for each of those like digicams, camcorders, TV sets, ADSL on computers with Firefox and Thunderbird, proper GPS devices etc. Why would I want to duplicate everything in a stupid do-all box of tricks that costs a small fortune and which serve only to reduce battery life.

A phone is meant for communicating: keep it that way.

Agree with devil on this I've got a donkeys years old sagem X2-2 does its job perfectly well

Current one is a Sony Ericsson W850i Walkman phone. Got it mainly because it is pretty powerful (games are great) and allows several applications to stay in the background and restarted instantly at any time. Nice feature. Used to buy Motorolas, which were nice phones (Loved StarTac and V50) but all had GUI systems and screens from the stone ages compared to my Sony phones. iPhone looks like the next gen thing for a better GUI, but I will probably hold off till Sony produce something with a similar interface. Mainly because I have a PDA and an iPod already.

Cheers

Out of interest does the iPhone do the background task feature? Cannot do without that on my phone now. Looks nice though, but would like to see in the flesh. Might be a bit big. Plus will cost a fortune here.
