If anyone can explain why cypriot girl won't date a foreigner, would be great. I've even asked cypriots that I know, and they don't know either...

It is because Cypriot girls are very materialistic. I mean, how many foreigners do you see with Mercedes and BMWs in Cyprus? That are not over 50? Not many, eh?

Also they have got this thing about status and then there is the "Prika"... When Cypriots get married their families give the couple land or a house, that is the Prika. Things that most foreigners do not have in Cyprus. Believe me you are not missing out on anything. Most of them are snobs, even if they have no apparent reason. Also, when you marry a Cypriot you marry the entire family.

Cypriot girls like to act all virginal also, even if they have slept with half their village, including their third cousins.

Also when you date a Cypriot man there is only a 0.1% that he will ever let you pay. Foreigners are not like that. I am not saying that it is right, but once you get accustomed to the guy always paying you get offended if
someone lets you pay. I am not anti-Cypriot by the way. I am Cypriot myself.

Anyway Cypriot girls,nowadays I think they are confused,not knowing what to do and were to go.I believe they have alot more freedom to study and travel.They still have this air of superiority on the surface but under that they have all the modern traits of European girls.

Hei - sad but true we are all computerized by the culture and society we live in. Only way to overcome it is no doubt a long analysis of the inner mind and a long look at the external society. Cyprus is a cross of many inputs so may be difficult to analyze with any clarity.

My name is Kezzi. I'm mixed race. i just wanted to say that i went to cyprus in 2007 and it totally rockin. its even better than the greek islands.

Anyway, i met some cypriot woman on holiday. One did not speak to me but i met some others and they were really friendly.

One day i went to makronissos beach and i have to say that the woman are really beautiful. I don't understand why the men do not go for them. My sister and my ma was with me. we went on a pedaloe and my sister went down the slide. Even though i am a really good swimmer, my sister clung on to me in the water and i started to panic. a cypriot woman rescued me.

also there was one time whenever i was going out one night, i went to a shop and this woman was watching tv. i bought something and the woman gave me a flower which i though was really sweet.

Anyone who doesn't like these woman are jealous. it is good to see that there is one country in this world that are really warm hearted and beautiful for who they are. My motto peace n love.

Well I don't know if this is/will be to everybody's liking, but here goes.

Generally Cypriot are racist, (my mother is Cypriot). I don't speak Greek very well and work in a Hotel, and the number of times I've been insulted by Cypriots, I've lost count. Most of them say things like we are in Cyprus not America, why do they put Russians in the Hotels (I'm not Russian). One even called me a Butana.

Anyhow, back to the main point: I think that the fact that the Cypriot girls don't date other nationalities is mainly due to their parents, but also could be the fact of their fear of being used, and thrown away by foreign guys when they return home, also that lots of foreigners are looking to get married for papers.

I think it's much easier for a guy to date different nationalities, and sleep with as many girls as he can without anyone really having a bad comment, however girls it's a little different.

You have definately got a point there. I was with a guy that night. he asked me out. i like men running after woman cause if you run after men you only mucked about. I still can't believe that the woman did not speak to me. i was shocked. It must of been awful getting comments like that thrown at you.

Americans are pretty cool people u know. some people in america think irish people are lepricauns, but i take it as a compliment. only thing i'm not irish.

About the men sleeping with girls, there was this one guy who was cypriot he slept with a different woman every night.

True for girls it is different. girls in our country get called slut or whore if they sleep with lots of men.

We all unfortunately get called names we don't like. not nice. i used to get called skidnose because i had a birthmark on my nose, but i've had 6 operations or more to get rid of it.

I have just moved here from england i try talk to a few girls from cyprus they are not interested its no big deal ive met a vietnamese girl who has a heart of gold, they are just girls meet a decent warm hearted person is the best thing as long as a person is loving,warm thats all thats needed too much nonsense and lifes too short theirs no reason or point in that.

I would date English definetly...But go for TC, maybe GC too because I think Cypriot men are THE BEST
