i find it very sad that a person's birth certificate (otr skin color) has to be a deciding factor in whom to marry. it's all just very ignorant and closed minded, if you ask me.

I agree. And, for the story above, that one with the 7 years relationship, I think not only his parents we're norow-minded, but him too, accepting someone else (even if those are his parents) deciding who'm to live his life with.
That's sick. I mean... no one should decide for someone else.

That reminds me of years ago when i used to go to many Jazz Funk alldayers and allnighters in Manchester from my home town Bonnie Dunde in Scotland,I used to see loads of black guys with blonde english women say 20 plus couples per venue on average but never once did i see a white guy with a black girl (no but never) never even had the oppertunity to get into there company and have a dance with one (closed shop) i'm not a racist but i found it "WEIRD" i must say.

what about all the close minded individuals that will never understand? all the possabilities they lose out on. cultural diversity is a good thing. keeping a closed society only leads to inbreeding.

Did they say that or you assumed? If they said it, then it might be true, if you assumed they thought that, you might be very wrong (or... ).

There are girls that won't date people from other countries, people of other color, etc. but there are also girls that don't date other people JUST because they don't like them. Simple as that.

What did you do? I'm just curious...
