going to paphos in september for a month can any one tell me if any of the bars near the alexander the great hotel show the bbc and itv soaps

are you seriously that worried about missing your "soaps?!!! mabye a friend in the uk can tape them for you while you are away, I can think of a million and one better things to do in Cyprus rather than watching corrie and eastenders!!

i must admit, i do like my soaps from time to time.. but NEVER on my holidays!!

Yet, i suppose everyone enjoys their holidays differently. If you're more into relaxing and catching up on your soaps then that's your choice.

I'd still prob just get a mate in UK to record it, it will prob be a bit difficult to find over here.. and just so you know, our uk soaps are a bit behind the UK, anywhere from 2 days (BFBS Forces satellite) to 2 weeks behind, think showtime is about 2 weeks behind if my memory is correct. So you'll probably only end up watching programs you've already seen back in the UK!

Mate? Just get Sky+ or the equivelent Freeview or Cable box. Plug in all your programmes and you are good to go. Or just take ages setting up the VHS...

you could never be so lucky... 20 yards down from that hotel is a side street.
10 yards up that street is a bar called eastenders.... yes they have all the uk channels.

thought this topic would cause some contraversy when we go out at night better half likes to sit with a drink for an hour and watch some soaps before we go for a meal and more drinks to be honest if any members have been to benalmadina the soaps and the football are big buisness for the bars
