traditionally, this is the time of BBQs: lots of hot dogs and hamburgers, potato salads, and corn on the cob. tonight there will be fireworks. however alot of the USA is suffering droughts right now, so thier communiites may skip the fireworks (which is a fire hazzard) and go with a laser show instead. lucky for us in NY, we can still have the fireworks!

Yeah, we almost had one of those in cyprus, until the US came along and mucked it up.

someday they will celebrate it Karma. we have only been celebrating it for the past 231 years. that is nothing when you consider the age of greece or cyprus or turkey, compared to us.
