GREECE-TURKEY LEAVE CYPRUS ALONE

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

GREECE-TURKEY LEAVE CYPRUS ALONE

Postby SN » Mon Jul 02, 2007 8:01 pm

What about that?

What about Greece and Turkey leaving Cyprus alone?Once and for good??

Why the need for constant intervention from Greece and Turkey?

The real victims are the Cypriot people both the GC and TC.

As a Greek citizen i no longer want Greece to have anything to do with Cyprus. All we manage to do is to create problems and divition to the Cypriot people.I want Greece to be legally absent from any future decision making in Cyprus.I say enough is enough.Greece's public is tired by Greece's policy on Cyprus. We the citizens of Greece dont want anymore our country in Cyprus. Why should a Greek citizen or a Turkish citizen be caught in this? What do i have in Cyprus?Nothing....Only the Cypriot have rights on the island.

Why self identify as GreekC or TurkishC?Just Cypriot with a Greek or Turkish background....big deal...

Every way possible.Firstly and foremostly Greece is legally bound to intervene military-wise in the island in case of a war. That only prooves my point.Let's not talk about politics.Papadopoulos and every government in Cyprus is just a puppet from Greece.Whatever Greece decides Papadopoulos follows....

Come on.Guarante powers on a sovereign country???

I am sorry it is so anacronistic. Both Greece and Turkey withdraw from the island immediately. All the Greek and Turkish troops go back home.Cyprus is suffering almost half a century from this imperialism both from Greece and Turkey. The destiny of the Cypriots is to be caught on an endless bitching between Greece-Turkey.

Give peace a chance.Turn your back on Greece and Turkey.Abandon them. The same way, they ALWAYS abandon you at the first instance....Collonialism and Imperialism. That is all Greece and Turkey want.

You see Alexis i am not the one to suffer in a potential war in Cyprus.Neither are you.Only the Cypriots!!!!!!!

And i bow before the victims of the Greek atrocities commited in Cyprus between 63-74.
The same way bow before the victims of the Turkish atrocities commited in Cyprus in 74.

You see, at the end of the day we want peace. Both sides are to be blamed.I call on you the Cypriot citizens to block both Greece and Turkey from the Island.Once and for good.Enough is enough.

Your people, the Cypriots have been through hell.Reach your hand to the GreekCypriots and come to an understanding and then wave arrogantly to Greece and Turkey....That is where i stand.

Thank you for your good words!!!!!!

What is the point? That you personally don't care about Cyprus, and therefore if Cyprus is attacked you wouldn't want Greece to support us?

Whatever Greece decides Papadopoulos follows....

This couldn't be further than the truth. About Cyprus who decides are Cypriots.

1.Yes,that is exactly what i am saying. Why should Greece be legally obligated to military intervention in Cyprus? That only deepens the divitions that is caused to the Greek Cypriot society.

I might accept help on humanitarian bases(food, medical help etc) considering Cyprus is an ally in the EU and NATO.That is all Greece should be eligible to offer. The same off course goes for Turkey.

But the main issue for me personally is not Cyprus but Greece.I dont see why a Greek citizen should be obligated to offer assistance to an independend sovereign country???Why should i be obligated to go to war protecting something that has nothing to do with the sovereign interests of Greece???I mean give me a credible reason....just one. What do I have to do with Cyprus?Or what does a Turkish citizen have to do with Cyprus???

2. RoC needs Greece. It is only normal a small country to be politically dependant on its ''protector''.So yes,the Cypriots might have a saying on whom they elect but i doubt it that they have a saying on what is really going on in RoC.Greece does,it is my firm belief that if Greece doesnt abandon its colonialism pocilies then the Cypriots would continue to suffer and live in a divided island.
