How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

In the Lausaugne Treaty there is a provision on the existance of a muslim minority in Greece. The members of the minorities are free to claim turkish, pomak or roma national background, speak their languages and execute their religious rights and keap alive their customs and traditions.WHAT IS NOT ACCEPTED BY GREECE IS THE EFFORT TO ESTABLISH ONE ETHNIC MINORITY FOR ALL THE MUSLIM MINORITY OF THRACE IN ORDER THE POMAKS AND THE ROMA TO PARTICIPATE IN A FABRICATED TURKISH IDENTITY.

So you see the b*llshit of it all?The Turks are a distict national group which should not be confused with the Pomaks and Roma. They should be allowed to be an ETHNIC and not a religious minority. The pomaks and roma can choose. But the TURKS are ETHNIC TURKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!As simple as that...

Have you been to Thrace, EVER? Do you know that Roms and Pomaks are liteerally CRYING for help, because they are threatened by the Greek Turks to declare themselves as Turks?? I've had conversations with TWO Pomaks on this, so don't try to play it smart on me, you know nothing, just what your clique has spoon-fed you

Your attitude could be briefly described as "ου με πείσεις καν με πείσεις"... I'm sorry for you, you'll stick to your stupid claims even when you have proof rubbed in your face... I've quoted the bloody foreign ministry recognizing THREE ethnic minorities and you... τον χαβά σου... No point in further arguing with you

population: Greek 93%, other (foreign citizens) 7% (2001 census)
note: percents represent citizenship, since Greece does not collect data on ethnicity

What proof? Please dont kid yourself where is the proof saying that the minority is called a Turkish one????hahaha. That is typical Greek propaganda.Spare me....

I am sorry you are extemely ignorant.

The official name in Greece is MUSLIM minority.Find me where it say TURKISH MINORITY...NOWHERE TO BE FOUND.

I told you...it is easy to dish out b*llshit claims to non-Greeks but probably to be confronted with a fellow national that is open-minded and knows the reality of Greece's fasicsm is something you cant swallow.

Allow me once more to emphasize on Greece's fasicism that people of your stock seem to help perserve it....

The official name is MUSLIM.NOT TURKISH.PERIOD.
You can moan and groan but Greece officially doesnt have an ethnic minority!!!!!!That prooves Greece's fasism.Iran is better off!!!!!!!!

This could go on forever, I'll reply to you one more time and after that I'll just ignore you, because honestly you have nothing to say.

Even if you choose to ignore the fact that the official documents of the Greek foreign ministry regarding minorities specify that there are three ethnic minorities in Greece, among which one is Turkish, you CANNOT deny the fact that these minorities, whatever you claim they are called, lead a MUCH BETTER life than the minorities in Turkey. They are taught their language, they are encouraged and assisted in preserving their culture, they even have a FIXED number of seats reserved in greek universities, much higher than what their population would suggest. They are assisted in buying property, with special low-interest loans available ONLY to minority members. What do you have to say about that? Is it the case with Turkey as well? Or did I perhaps post lies?

What fact to ignore? Are you that ignorant???I told you Greece can internally propagate whatever suits her best!!!!!

That is the core essence of the propaganda. While in Greece they can say blah blah as you say,the point is that the minority is officially referred to as a MUSLIM one.Not a Turkish one. That is the core issue.

Regarding the Greek minority i already asnwered.I never claimed Turkey to be a heaven,BUT BEFORE CRITISIZING TURKEY you must critisize your country first.

Greece has a very very very poor record on human rights. The Zelidis case in Thessaloniki is also an excellent example on Greece's human rights record.

Dont kid your self, Greece will do anything it can to maintain total dominance inside its borders. It will propagate virtually anything,Cyprus is the biggest victim of Greece's GREED.The poor Greek Cypriots are the biggest victims into believing they have anything hellenic on them...The same way i and you have nothing HELLENIC on our selves.

TRUE HELLENISM IS LONG GONE!!ENJOY THE NEO GREEK MENTALITY....

Off course i stand by my claim.Only bsc i choose to see Greece first and compare it to noone.Let alone Turkey....

That is where the typical superiority Greek complex kicks in and you start babling....

As i said Turkey is an angel, specially now entering in the future the EU!!!!

While Greece is almost 30 years in EU,we are free to terrorize the immigrants and NEVER recognize an ethnic minority in our soil!!!!!!!That is pethetic...

I provided facts that prove the minorities in Greece enjoy a perfectly good life, I'll say it again, the Turks of Greece are richer than the Turks of Turkey. They enjoy special privileges that the rest of the Greeks do not have. And, trust me, the average Greek Turk has no problems declaring his ethnic identity or learning the Turkish language. Why do you insist on the name tag of the minority and why do you consider it of paramount importance for the everyday life of the minority members is beyond me. Even if Greece did not aknowledge the ethnic identities of the minorities (which she does), it would have no impact on their quality of living, there are NO RESTRICTIONS whatsoever in what they believe, what they declare themselves to be or what language they speak. Is this the case with the Kurds in Turkey?

Do you always revert to such slogans when you are out of arguments? I'm not an Ellinaras my friend, but I'm not a Greek-basher either. Greece is new and inexperienced as an immigrant hosting country, unused to the waves of immigrants that started crossing our borders only FIFTEEN years ago, and yet most of these immigrants are happy here. I'm PROUD of the Greek people for that, of course there are many issues regarding racism and tolerance, but in general I really believe Greeks reacted in a healthy way to such a sudden change in their lives.

Lastly, the most solid proof of the healthy democratic nature of the Greek state is the fact that you can express your views freely and not fear of being prosecuted the next day and be locked into a prison cell, which is what would happen if you did the same in Turkey
