Whatever you are, you are alone with your theories, you may consider the whole world as brainwashed and yourself as the only "enlightened" one who can see the truth, but usually in such cases it's the other way around. Sorry.

I said you are not a Greek (and I insist on that) not because you consider Greece a "fascist state", but because you consider Turkey a better one. Noone in his right mind would ever claim that, you gave yourself away too early, sorry

SN! I have been trying to say something similar to what you have said in your previous posts but I could never find the right words and everytime I tried I (as usuall) said it in the wrong way and people misunderstood my point. I don't know about Greece or her human rights issues.

What my point is, is that by the time Greek Cypriots started shouting ''ENOSIS'' they were NOT ''just'' Greeks. They were CYPRIOTS...more over they were the INDIGENOUS CYPRIOTS with 3000 years of history on this island. They may of been similar to mainland Greeks when they first arrived but by 1960s they were UNIQUE to CYPRUS with their own motherland that they'd been living in for CENTURIES!!

When Greece set her eyes on Cyprus she INFECTED these indigenous Cypriots and turned them against their countries best interests. ENOSIS had NOTHING to do with Cypriots but EVERYTHING to do with GREECE, it wasnt in the name of Cypriots it was in the name of GREEKS who may I add had NOTHING to do with this countries UNIQUE culture which EVERY majority, minority, animal, plant and tree living in Cyprus contributed to! Cyprus was CYPRIOT! People lived the Cypriot lifestyle not the Greek one! These people were brainwashed into serving Greeces interests!!!!

Since GCs started shouting ENOSIS they've forgotten about the true INDIGENOUS CYPRIOTS they once were and have turned more Greek than Cypriot and they are completely OBLIVIOUS to this FACT...With a 3000 year history on this island why they need statues of the man who wrote Greeces anthem is totally beyond me. Isnt that an INSULT to themselves more than anything? They diss our statues of Atatürk because Atatürk had nothing to do with Cyprus yet put up statues of this man as if he had anything to do with Cyprus himself?!?!? Is there something I dont get??

Some people I wont mention any names talk as though they are just Greeks born in Cyprus when in reality they WERE a lot more than that, they WERE their own people! Again at the time of Zeus or the 12 Gods they were proper Greeks...by the time they were TRICKED into wanting ENOSIS they were more than just Greeks. Plus remember that GCs were the indigenous Cypriots who were ASSIMILATED by Greeks...so no matter how much you get diluted they were (deep down) what they were to begin with...THE INDIGENOUS CYPRIOTS who were on this island from the get go!

I might sound naive but I KNOW theres truth in what I'm saying because I see the old GCs in my own people and I KNOW they didnt just get it from no where because we are completely different to mainland Turks and completely different to GCs we have today. Some GC members have even said that ''some TCs are more Cypriot than us''...and ITS TRUE...how can that be unless something went terribly wrong?? Something SERIOUSLY isnt right and some GCs should really think about it. Since ENOSIS my people do not want to live with the GCs who they DID get along perfectly fine with no matter what anyone says. Our words are in their vocabulary as theirs is in ours...our foods are on their menus as theirs is on ours...the list goes ON AND ON AND ON...we were NOT enemies untill Greece tried to claim Cyprus!!!! We all had a part in making Cyprus what it was till Greece came, propagandized and brainwashed the GCs into serving her own interests and then left them out in the cold when it didnt work out BECAUSE THEY DID IT FOR THEMSELVES AND NOT CYPRUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I must go to bed now because Im going into the army in the morning (:?), I need a break from here anyways...Goodnight all and speak to you soon.

YES BE MRFROMNG! Im glad another TC has said this. Denying the negative impact of our own motherland is as shamefull as the GCs denying theirs. Well done mate!

I'm sorry iceman but it's not just me or the Greeks but the whole world that considers Turkey a militaristic regime rather than a democratic state.

Here you go, a survey from the Economist:
Greece is the only Southeast European (SEE) country included in the group of the most democratic nations in the world, according to a new survey released by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) this week.

Ranking 22nd among the surveyed 165 countries and two territories, Greece is classified as a "full democracy," along with 27 other nations. The rest of the countries fall into one of other three groups listed in the EIU democracy index -- "flawed democracies," "hybrid regimes" and "authoritarian regimes".
.
.
.
Ranked 83rd, 87th and 88th, respectively, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Turkey are in the 30-nation "hybrid regimes" group. Their overall scores range from 5.91 points for Albania to 5.78 for BiH and 5.70 for Turkey. Their highest marks are for electoral process and pluralism. Albania's worst mark of 4.44 is for political participation, while BiH's lowest score of 3.29 is for functioning of government. Turkey's lowest mark of 3.75 is for political culture.

The Greek Cypriots wanted to be part of a Greek state even when there was none, before and during the 1821 Greek war of independence, if you knew your history you'd know that. Greek Cypriots always considered themselves Greek, their national identity was certainly not "imposed" on them by some Greek "agents"! That's absurd! It was infact Greece who pushed for an independent Cypriot state as the only viable solution when the Greek Cypriots wanted enosis with Greece

Are you for real? Greece officially recognizes a 100,000 strong Turkish minority, a 50,000 Pomak minority and a 50,000 Roma minority in Thrace. And before you rush to answer that Greece considers the Turkish minority as muslim, know that it's the SUM of the above three minorities that Greece calls "muslim", because Turkey systematically tries to push for a "turkification" of the whole muslim minority. And while the Turkish minority prospers in Thrace (the Turks of Greece are richer than their countrymen in Turkey), what's happening to the 200,000 Greek minority in Istanbul? Oh right, they were DEPORTED, I forgot that... Give me a break, please!

Alexis has an interesting perspective...

He feels that a Greek-speaking Cypriot that wants nothing to do with Greece is Greek but a Greek person angry at his country is not!

Alexis, I dedicate this poem to you... :)

Roses are blue, violets are white, the sun is a square and so are you!
