GREECE-TURKEY LEAVE CYPRUS ALONE

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Get rid of Greece and see what Cyprus will be left with. This type of naive thinking never ceases to amaze me.

Apart from a couple thousand "symbolic" ELDYK soldiers there's pretty much nothing left of Greece in Cyprus Simon. It's all over in case you haven't noticed.

As I said many times in the past, Greece will be lucky to look after her own rocks in the Aegean let alone come to the aid of Cyprus.

Greece looks after the Aegean "rocks" just fine if you haven't noticed, and it looks after Cyprus as well, as requested by the RoC and the Greek Cypriots. You may not like it, but you enjoy the safety Greece provides you anyway

Can anyone answer a simple very serious question, where was Greece in 1974 when Turkey invaded Cyprus?

Under a military Junta imposed by the USA a few years before 74, for which Bill Clinton himself apologised during his visit to Greece in 1999

So how do you explain that Turkey stuck a big red flag right in the center of Imia while your navy looked on with a pair of binoculars in the mid nineties? Is that how you look after your rocks?

Do tell, where is that big red flag now? Do you perhaps remember the Sismic incident in the 80s when Turkey backed out from oil searches when Greece threatened with war? Yes, Greece can do that. That's why Cyprus needs Greece

You're dreaming Alexis, you've got the hardware but you forgot to get the user's manual!

To prove my point go stick a big blue flag on a Turkish rock and watch the fireworks... :)

And what happened when the Turks stuck their flag on Imia? Do you actually know? The two countries actually were on the brink of war, and it was only after the Turks removed the flag that things cooled off... So no, it's YOU who's dreaming when you actually believe that the free Cyprus would not have been already invaded if Greece wasn't the guarantor of its safety. Still waiting for a comment on the Sismic incident btw...

Also, the hardware you refer to is being used as we speak, Greek fighters scatter away Turkish airspace violators daily
