I was taken by surprise (as were we all) when I learned of his fate.

I think we have now reached an understanding on those points.

As to the 'Truth' of the matter, bearing in mind the nature of Lt Col T. Mooney's position and your hopes, there is an old saying which covers the situation nicely.

cyprus is not in nato nor the U.N ...the cyprus cypriot army is considered a militia by both ,hence it cannot buy nato equipment hence it gets casts off from eastern bloc or hand me downs from greece ..hence the investigatin will take months and involve monitoring of calls ,sms and emails across cyprus (id you dont believe that you live a sheltered world ) cyprus is classed by U.S as a safe place at the moment .

not bad for a school which is this month 1 year old

this is not big news anymore in the USA. I guess that is very good, because i would hate to see the average USA citizen starting to hate Cypriots.

i know this is going to sound ignorant, but i try to stay as far away from the news reports as possible as it causes me to have nightmares, and i remember my dreams every night. therefore, i have to keep as positive as possible, as i have no control over my dreams.

I wonder why? I would have thought a very unusual death of the no. 3 of a diplomatic mission, anywhere, would have been very newsworthy, especially in view of the circumstances.

Even if some Cypriot had perpetrated a crapulous crime (which I doubt: much more likely to be an assassination, if any crime were committed), I see no reason for this to inspire the hatred of your fellow-Americans. You really do have a thing about people hating others, don't you? Hardly a thread goes by, in which you participate, without your invoking hatred.
