18% - 82%

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

As long as we have recognition NOTHING in that 82% would compare to the state that Turkish Cypriots would build. Just agree to them having their 82% because I know our people will make a lot more of Cyprus than the GCs. Talk is cheap so I wont talk too much but deep down you must KNOW what I mean .

As long as we have recognition and as long as Turkey and her influence is out of our country then NOTHING can stop us. GCs have turned the South into a smaller (all be it prettier) Greece and they've done so voluntarily, while we've had to put up with Turkeys influence because we've had no choice.

We've lived on 3% of the land and in tents before, 18% isnt too bad. We have parition and our own state for now, we build it while our people will for once prosper. Once we're all set up and once GCs see for themselves what kind of Cypriots TCs are and once they're begging us to unite, THEN we negotiate how much bigger our state should be...

Sorry but I dont fall for this ''indigenousness'' either  and I think a lot of GCs lost their Cypriotness a LONG time ago (probably from time they started shouting 'ENOSIS').

Our aim shouldn't be to partition Cyprus for good, our aim should be to SHOW GCs whos more Cypriot than who and as long as we have recognition WE WOULD!!!

END OF!!!!

TC my friend, As soon as you get the partition and recognition, I don't doubt you will do a great job of building the north and even do a better job then the GCs, as I know how hard working and clever the TCs are, but that is exactly what Turkey will wait for and then start milking you eventually turning the place into a 'kerkhanes'. Unless you have complete independence from Turkey this will not work.

Perhaps you are right kardesim but unless Piratis comes to my president of the TRNC/KKTC with a piece oof paper in his hands and talks directly to him in that capacity then I will not take him too seriously. I still think tthat we should noot allow them to sell of our island as cheaply as they have done so far but perhaps I am being a little too protective.

I know man we're only talking here but Im just saying that no matter what we have to deal with we would get further than GCs providing we were recognised. We do need recognition though and you and I both know we will have to lose land in order to get it...

18% is small but its not so small that we cant work with...TCs are a lot more Cypriot than GCs and whatever they can do we can do better, some are too stubborn to see but I know theres some people in here who realise even though they havent quite put it that way...

As soon as we get recognition all the TCs that are abroad will flock to Cyprus and start contributing. All those TCs abroad who I KNOW are dying to come home are only away because of the current situation! You know how much TCs love Cyprus, they would and WILL do anything for their country.

No one has been able to stop GCs because of legal issues but Im sure they've wanted to. With recognition would come the help that was granted by many but denied by GCs...we have nothing to worry about even in a 18%-82% split 8)

You have no president and there is no country called "trnc" zan. All you have is a monstrosity created by means of ethnic cleansing recognized only by Turkey and some puppets that pretend that they run it.

Since you don't want a united Cyprus, if you want your dream of having a separate legitimate state to become true then you have to stop being greedy and accept a partition plan that will also be acceptable to us. And as I said earlier you should be the ones who should propose it, since you are the ones who want partition. I am just giving you a clue of the only kind of partition that could possibly be acceptable by a majority of GCs. Anything else (Annan plans etc) will be a waste of time.

Thanks for the offer but as credentials go I think Mr. Kofi Annan has you beat hands down and I would prefer his ideas to your crooked ones. This is an excercise to sell us your numbers and not to negosiate a settlement so you trying to accuse us of wanting partition and trying to cover up a massive OXI to the A Plan is not going to work. Unity and land distribution was discussed and recomended by your new EU masters and you said no because you think you know better.

Well that is my dream kafenes and I understand your point. In the possible event of a recognized TC state I want Turkey OUT!

I'm SO tired of RoC AND Turkey equally...I just want whats best for my people and neither of them are too good for them in my opinion.

We have no choice but to welcome Turkey but I would love to see her look after herself and only herself at the 1st chance!!!

Im half Turkish and I love Turkey. But I want Turkey to be Turkey and Cyprus to be Cyprus!!!! I dont feel my people should have to put up with Turkey forever just to live comfortably in their own country. :(

Zan, you can't have partition + our money + EU (that we worked for it) at the same time. Your greediness will not lead you anywhere. And what exactly was "crooked" about what I wrote? Isn't partition what you have always wanted?

This is an excercise to sell us your numbers

I made a complete proposal.

so you trying to accuse us of wanting partition and trying to cover up a massive OXI to the A Plan is not going to work.

What do you mean accuse you of wanting partition? Isn't partition what in fact you want? Or what you want is to play games trying to pretend that you are supposedly the unification supporters trying to gain points from your "yes" vote in Annan plan. OK, how long do you want us to wait until you realize that you will not gain much with such games?

Unity and land distribution was discussed and recomended by your new EU masters and you said no because you think you know better

I am not sure about what you are talking about, however in Cyprus only Cypriots (the majority of whom are us) can take decisions regarding that kind of matters.

turkish_cypriot, you can get rid of either RoC or Turkey, not both.

Imagine if we agree in one such proposal and in the future they find oil between north Cyprus and Turkey. Do you really think Turkey would accept to make deals with you like the ones we made with Egypt and Lebanon? They have 70 million poor people and massive debts and they would allow you to get rich? Think again. They will take everything, and then remind you that they "saved you from the evil GCs" so you should just shut up.
