The Turkish Cypriots did not steal anything from you , they have taken a portion of what was belonging to them that was given to you by the British. Murataga you seem to be a bit short in the history department. You say that Takism was a defensive response to ENOSIS, can't you accept that ENOSIS was a defensive response to oppression as perceived by Greek Cypriots. I'll quote the Smyrna holocaust for a start and no doubt you will reply with the Turkish exit from Crete. We go round in circles. You have live in a state that was illegaly created by force that will never be accepted, as presently constituted, by the civilised world. As for the Turkish military, they were in a position to solve the Cyprus Problem in July 1974 without the need to "conquer" 37% of the island. If you care to read the details of the negotiations between the first and second part of the invasion you will see that whatever concessions were made to Turkey that country was determined to occupy a large part of Cyprus. I do wish you would stop telling me to get my facts straight, its both childish and tedious.

Jerry, you really do need to get your facts right because you seem to be another one who likes reading selective history and and provide own interpretations, helping us go in circles.

Most of the topics you touch upon had been discussed in this forum before and explained in great detail - by historic facts and those who lived through it like myself.

I will not go through the same things all over again but I do suggest you read through some of the old threads on this Cyprus Problem forum and read the previous discussions - you will find abundant historic information.

Yes, I do agree some subjects are getting childish and tedious but not for reasons you mentioned. Because, every time another member decides to indulge in things discussed before, we start the same arguments all over again - so much so, most of the time I know exactly who is going to say what! The UN and the whole world recognize Republic of Cyprus as it exists today. The RoC as it is today is perfectly legal to the whole world and the UN, only you deny this, and only you commit crimes and illegalities by violating the sovereignty of RoC and refusing to obey the UN resolutions that declared your "trnc" as illegal and demanded the withdrawal of the Turkish troops from Cyprus.

It is recognized in contravention to all principles of the U.N. that has paradoxically acknowledged as ONE of the TWO communities with politically equal status. The sooner you acknowledge that we are ONE of the TWO politically equal communities in the RoC the sonner you will be ending your illegality.

Gladly, as I was the one puttuing the Resolution about BBF with politically equivalent ststus up here in the first place fully aware of the definition of political status and the one supporting it from the begining. It reads exactly the following and it is exactly what I support:

While political equality does not mean equal numerical participation in all federal Government branches and administration, it should be reflected inter alia in various ways: in the requirement that the federal constitution of the State of Cyprus be approved or amended with the concurrences of both communities; in the effective participation of both communities in all organs and decisions of the federal Government; in safeguards to ensure that the federal Government will not be empowered to adopt any measures against the interests of one community; and in the equality and identical powers and functions of the two federated states

This is what I stand by, word for word. Now you tell me, or better yet your buddy Piratis, if this is a "nation vs. minority" analogy or a political equivalence of two communities as analogous to the political equivalence of Greece (with 10 million) and Germany (with 90 million) in the EU parliament.
