Tess

Hi Tess, as usual its the old case of "not what you know" but "who you know",otherwise i would have no businesess full stop, and believe me it was not Brits that helped me when if first arrived but genuine CYPRUS CIPRIOTS !!!!
Once you gain there respect and are invited into the circle you are treated just like one of the family, not bad considering i've only lived here for six months "eh",but us Scot's get on with everyone the world over!!!!!!

How rude...I"m sorry but I've just read this post and I'm welsh and have just been called 'scum' ...do these people know me??? Please dont tar all welsh people with the same brush! Wales is actually a country of its own which was stolen by the English some years ago...children were told not to speak their own language by the English and punished if they did...hence nearly erradicating the welsh language...thank goodness we have these old people who have kept it alive and given us the gift of our own language!! Would you like to take Greek from Greeks or Spanish from Spaniards???? Would they like it?? Or even Germans taking English from England?? hmmmm seems they tried and not many people really Thank Germany for doing it even though it was years ago and most of the people who did it are long gone...
If you've experienced racism for being English in Wales then I'm sorry...blame your ancestors!!!
As for me...the only time you will hear me knock the English is when the Six Nations Rugby is on! But I'm not getting into that as I know and admit Wales are not doing too good lately!!

PS.... LlanfairPG translates to 'St Mary's Church by the white hazel pool, near the fierce whirlpool with the church of St Tysilio by the red cave.' And No it makes no sense to us either!

No, just for being Welsh and not speaking Welsh. Nice. As for saying all Welsh people are scum, well no, thats not true. Just the inbreds on Anglesey where I grew up. And not even all of them. The rest of Wales (where all my family come from) is perfectly fine as far as I'm concerned. :)

Cheers

Ps. Nobody really gave a monkeys about LlanfairPG where I grew up. Amazingly insignificant place considering the size of the name. Perhaps the same sort of thing as blokes who buy big flash sports cars eh? :)
