The Welsh problem

Having had quite a few holidays in North Wales I've seen and experienced quite a lot of racism towards the English -- I used to really love baiting them when they were apparently having dificulty understanding my English by speaking Greek :shock:

It's so rude!

I have lovely memories of holidays in Anglesey when I was young but I must have been oblivious to the anti-English feelings. What a shame! Kind of spoils it.

i remember my nan going into a shop in south wales and they refused to serve her - why and how stupid is that
i was in the army for a bit as a medic and the welsh and scotts used to say they should blow england up and use it as a carpark for them!!!!! then why are they in the british army??? i think they should grow up

Yep. The problem is that Wales thinks that England is this great enemy and there is this massive rivalry. When in actual fact England really doesn't give a monkeys, thinks Wales is kind of cute and a good place for a holiday, but really doesn't think of it as a rival. Doesn't even contemplate the idea. Wales is like that chicken hawk in that cartoon with the rooster...
