Registering a vehicle with an engine swap

Postby Spetz » Fri Jun 29, 2007 9:51 pm

Just wondering what the law is on registering a car with a larger and more powerfull that standard engine is fitted to it?

The car has upgraded brakes and suspension as well and has an engineers certificate but not from cyprus (car isn't in cyprus either)

hahaha a bloody fortune mate

u have to think if its worth it road tax goes on CC size here to, i pay 346 pounds a year road tax.

DONT GET FOOLED IF U ARE ENTILTLED OT A DUTY FREE CAR U STILL HAVE TO PAY THIS.

if u are not entiled to aduty free car best u lookinto how much it will cost u to tax it in cyprus, british forces in cyprus are entitles to tax free cars as are cypriots who have lived outside cyprus for a certain amount of time. im not sure about brits moving to cyprus tho. i will find out for you on monday or tuesday

if u want tell me wat year make and model ur car is includng exact CC size and i will find out how much to register and how much road tax u will have to pay

wen i say about road tax i mean simila to uk road tax disc just shit loads more expensive with none of it goin on the roads... duty is another ball game duty in the uk is 17.5% but in cyprus itd 15% of the value of the car how ever if the car was less then ten years old when imported its different laws, like i said mate tell me the details of ya motor and ill find out for you, same for u spetz
