Lunch at Flo Cafe

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby Viewpoint » Sat Jun 30, 2007 6:31 pm

Piratis
Your position is contradictory. You first say you would accept 18% if GCs would not have any claims in that 18% and at the same time you talk about an independent court that will settle the land claims.

Then how will we agree 18% when a certain percentage are GCs even if there are 3% claims by GCs then the % would increase.

What will we do about the Tc land claims outstanding from 1963?

We said VP, there would be no GCs in that 18% and no TCs in that 82%. As it stands now there are much more more TCs living in the free areas, so if one should have been asking for more using this reason those should have been us, not you.

So again: 18% for you, 82% for us. We will deal and compensate any GCs with claims, and you will deal and compensate any TCs with claims. OK?

No Piratis! Just your little speech about ''because they believe they won the war'' tells me A HELL OF A LOT about whats going on in your head mate!!!! I KNOW you've been infected with propaganda and I KNOW you're too far gone to be saved.

Deep down you are a Greek and nothing more fighting for Hellenism...

I'd rather not give you anything but if I had to I would rather accept 5% than live with you.

Well said TC. Its about understanding each other, but no one in the international community understands how we can undertand each other if Turkey is set on violating GC's rights for a solution. Everything else is just plain fabrication why the TC's cant get along with GC's. The cries from over 33 years are just from bad leaders and policies during those times.

Aren’t your people the remnants of the Ottomans in Cyprus? Are you attempting to detach yourself from your ancestors so as not to inherit their woes?

but your father discriminated and reduced my my father into a second class citizen only 40 years ago.

Well isn’t he VERY lucky that he was only reduced to a second class citizen because my great grandfather, and everyone else before him, was reduced to a slave so I guess you can count your blessings.

When you next pray to your God please don’t forget to say a BIG… “Thank you” …that GC’s found it in their hearts to treat your father as a citizen of some sort.

Don’t EVER forget that for us indigenous Cypriots the Cyprus problem did not start in 1963 but in 1571. Thank you.

Regards, GR.

   Yes but how is that understanding eachother????????

You might have been tought that its just ''fabrication'' but you try telling that to the people on this side of the fence who lived through these events....

Listen mate, GCs lost their homes 33 years ago. Has 33 years passing made it any better for them? Is it any more acceptable now than it was all those years ago? Is it now a ''fabrication'' because 33 years have passed?

You just proved everything that I said. You took with war our land, and then you come and say "I'd rather not give you anything" as if you own what you stole from us, and only if you had to you would. Thats exactly what I was saying all along.

So now tell me when you will "have to" give us back our land? (waiting for you to confirm everything else I was saying all along)

OK, so now all it remains is to make that an official proposal to Republic of Cyprus and the UN. Then the UN can create a new plan compromising only of the land distribution and guarantees that you will honor the agreement (e.g. you will get no recognition until all land agreed is returned) and thats basically it. Did we come to an agreement?
