ukman, the weather for a start, how many times have you heard Cypriot people wishing for rain ?, well mate, let me tell you, in England there's plenty of it.

Millions of multi-coloured dustbins, electronically chipped as 'Spy Masters' watching what you throw away, people who can find something to moan about however well off they may be, lying politicians, (Oh sorry, you have them here also), thousands of other things, far too many to mention, what was the question ?.

Ukman: Most GCs and TCs live in England in complete harmony! Love each other. Eat drink together. Shop in each others shops.Do business together. Marry each other. And fear not. All they are short of is the "good" weather.

DA

NB. Istill would not give up Cyprus

Obviously the wrong place to ask that question. Bit biased here I'm afraid.

But the most obvious thing I can think of is money. There is much more of it in the UK and generally you don't come to Cyprus for the career opportunities.

Plus the English football team has at least a (small) chance of winning the world cup. Although you don't technically have to be there for that...

Oh and decent shops open on a sunday. Really miss that one...

Cheers

Well, for a start, Cyprus has;

• Cheap booze
• Cheap cigs
• Lovely beaches
• Mixed nightlife
• Own sense of culture
• BEACHES
• BEAHCES
• BEACHES – that don’t have tampons and dead fish on
• The sun plus air con!

I think everywhere is as GOOD as YOU make it... Or as BAD as you make it out to be.

I do prefer English nightclubs tho, so less cheesy than Cyprus.

Obv Cyprus has the better weather. But England...Has far more to do and I think it has more variety..But that's for me. And I know that's not for eveyone, I just wish England would become unobssesed with weight, appearance and celebrities. Annoys me. :D Maybe cyprus is like that too but I don't understand the TV or Mags. Nevermind.x

Today in the UK -

Poured down and had to wear a coat, and it's nearly July!

School sports day had to be called off due to bad weather.

Big part of London closed because of a bomb found in a Mercedes with boxes of nails (G*ts).

Tried to get 11 year old daughter a doctor's appointment having been told a neck pain must get seen to by an oesteopath but "no appointments available" and absolutely no chance until next week!

Floods still causing havoc.

Just received an enormous tax bill.

Tried to talk to bank but instead had to talk to someone in another country who simply could not understand so gave up!

Nearly went into the back of a car that just pulled out (sound familiar? It does happen in the UK)

Shall I go on........?
