Voted Separate Board - Fed up with seeing this subject in the General Chat! especially when it has been so repeatative and sometimes quite nasty!!

There should be a separate board, a total ban would make us as bad as the extrmist, undemocratic one party dictators.

Too right. I come here to find and share useful information on Cyprus. When the vast majority of threads seems to be religion based flame fests then it makes me, and I'm sure many others, go to other forums which are better at doing what they say on the tin (C-Y-P-R-U-S...). When I want my serious religion based topics I go to a forum dedicated to religion. Duh... Not that these threads here are anything like that. More like the computer equivelent of U-S-A, U-S-A, and "My dad is bigger than your dad, and can beat him up...".

Plus most other forums I have seen tend to either ban religion because they just turn the boards into flame wars, or have dedicated forum areas where everyone who wants to flame to their hearts content can do it on their own without annoying everyone else. After all, what do the moderators here actually moderate? Swearing, racism, and religion are obviously not looked at. Not much else left...

I quite agree. Moderation on this forum is almost non-existent and this does not improve its quality. I already left the forum for a couple of years once because it has disagreeable and ignorant posts. I'm not far short of doing the same again, even though I largely ignore all but the General Chat and the Jokes and Enigmas boards. This morning, when I logged on. there were 13 threads with new posts. I found only two that were interesting enough to open, this being one of them.

I think Admin has a hard task to make this forum palatable to reasonably intelligent people. Because I consider myself in this category, I don't envy him.

Please do not ignore the members votes on this forum.General chat used to be a nice place to visit but now seems to have sunk to the depths of nastiness through certain members extreme opinions on their favoured subject!
