ok you guys need to take it easy. limassol is literally blowing up.. i've been gone almost a year now and i come back only to find houses/flats being built EVERYWHERE... housing prices have gone up some crazy 20-30% in just a couple years..jesus, hehe.

is this going on in pahos or larnaca areas aswell?

Exactly, it's the developers and estate agents, the same applies to the renting market I was offered a property direct by the owner for £100 CYP per month less than the property company were asking.
Property has trebled Turkey in the last three years because they thought that they were joining the EEC.

Goody,may hang on to my apartment instead of selling.It is in Peyia and all the building is now completed around us so it is quite peaceful now!

Glad to hear that, if you buy in an area of developement you've got expect some disturbance made worse by the drier climate.
