The former Secretary General of the Republican Turkish Party Naci Talat is being remembered yesterday on the 16th anniversary of his death.


A special wreath laying ceremony was held by the side of his grave at Lefkosa Cemetery yesterday morning.


In an address at the ceremony, Prime Minister Ferdi Sabit Soyer said the Turkish Cypriot People is continuing its struggle for political equality and existence in Cyprus in line with the ideals set by Naci Talat.

The Premier said that the Turkish Cypriot People will continue its struggle until a solution is found to the Cyprus problem, democracy is fully established and the political equality of the Turkish Cypriot People is accepted by the whole international community.
