Postby halil » Mon Jun 25, 2007 8:19 am

President Mehmet Ali Talat has said that the world has understood the Turkish Cypriot People and moving ahead to establish closer relations with it.

Mr Talat was speaking during an opening ceremony of the 30th Guzleyurt Orange Festival (Saturdaynight.)

The ceremony was attended by President Mehmet Ali Talat, Interior Minister Ozkan Murat, the Minister of National Education and Culture Canan Oztoprak, MP’s and many guests.
In his opening speech the Mayor of Guzelyurt Mahmut Ozcinar expressed his distress over the opening of a fake Orange Festival by the so called Guzelyurt Municipality in south Cyprus and said that the Turkish Cypriot’s will keep its existence in Guzelyurt.

He also added that the festival will continue to be held vigorously in the following years.

Also addressing to the ceremony, President Mehmet Ali Talat said from now on the Greek Cypriot Side is following the Turkish Cypriot Side and if they want they will benefit from our friendship.

Pointing out that the Turkish Cypriot People is looking to the future with confidence, Mr Talat said that the world has understood the Turkish Cypriot People and is moving ahead to establish closer relations with it.

Underlining that people will work together to overcome the interior problems, the President stated that the Turkish Cypriot People is determined to protect and defend its rights and interests in unity.

The annual festival – which has been organized by the Guzelyurt Municipality since 1977- will feature social, cultural and sports activities.

The two week long festival’s program also includes a number of concerts and competitions as well as a beauty contest.

Since 77!!!!!

Accept the view of a Morphites. The Orange Festival began in the 60's. It was every year around the 5th of May. My parents got married on the day of one of those in 1967.

Talk about wiping out all form of history from a place. You do it with so much hate and vigour yet you can't wipe out our memories and our parents memories, That is my town with my house in it, whether you choose to accept it or not.

I don't understand how an organised effort to convince the world that an entire nation of people had never existed on a land can happen in the 21st century.

Talat the neolithic son of a b*****. Get over yourself re soultane!

DT when I was in the army there was one guy who was stealing our money at night.

If he would just stay silent everybody would think of many reasons, propably he is sick, propably this propably that. But he only had one excuse. "your parents are rich and can give you money, mine are poor".
How the hell could he assume each and every soldier had rich parents is beyond reasoning.
This excuse naked him completely. So it deprived him of any sympathy.

This is what I wish Talat. To finally open his mouth and start presenting the whole word his cheap excuses.
