Yes 'Pip Smith' was his name. 1st Bn York & Lancaster Regiment, as I write this I am having some plastering/building work done by a guy who was stationed at Dhekelia with the 2nd Royal Anglians at the same time as I was was in Cyprus.
We are preparing our house for selling next year when we hope to move permanentlty to Cyprus.

im sure its safe to say we wud not be in these situations if we were not completely intoxicated!!!

Worst place I've slept, well I've done Dartmoor, North Wales and the wilds of Scotland, but the worst places are

Pakistani Guest house in the Kashmir during a bit of fighting between the Indians & the Pakistani's

An Algerian Police Station

A Kenyan Police Station

On the Yemen/Saudi Border in the Empty Quarter waiting for a new clutch for my Landrover

A Saudi Border Post on the Yemen Border

Have wide raging experience of police stations around the world - mostly third world, don't ask ....

Niki,

Not kidding at all,

Have done a lot of travelling to pretty remote locations, and tend to get picked up, asked questions and then let go.

You can never really judge a country until you've been locked up by the police :shock:

Generally treated pretty well wherever I've been, so chalk it up to experience
