I would like to PASS a MOTION to have Sotos barred from this Forum. As a Moderator he surely is abusing his authority (if he has any). I would like ADMIN to have a little word with him.

Can TC's please not consider retaliating with any counter images - as easy as it may be, it serves no purpose whatsoever.

Sotos, with that kind of attitude, you may never get the chance 'to go home' as you put it. How sad for you to be that way.

Letter to the ADMIN: We are priviliged to be guests on this Cyprus Forum. But to allow a member, and a long established member at that to defile (albeit-electronically) the symbol of a peoples struggle in the manner which is apparent to yourselves it totally unacceptable. This must not be allowed to go on in this manner. If this is freedom of speech/expression or democracy, I do not need it. Sotos should be made to apologise and the offending material removed instantly. Somewhere in your policies this matter must be covered.

The so called "trnc" is nothing more than an illegal entity created by means of murder and ethnic cleansing on land that belongs to Republic of Cyprus and where most private land in owned by Greek Cypriots. The "trnc" flag symbolizes this crime against 100s of thousands of Cypriots and against the sovereignty of our country. That symbol is for us what the swastika is for the Jews.

People that support the "trnc" and its symbols are showing the worst kind of disrespect to the rest of the Cypriot people. Instead of asking from us to show respect to such racist symbols what they should do instead is to show some respect to our human rights and the sovereignty of our country and stop supporting illegalities.

Those people do not feel obligated to show even the required respect to our rights, yet they have the nerve to demand from us to show respect to the symbols of their crimes against us. We have tolerated that kind of disrespect from them for the sake of communication. If however that is not enough for them, and what they require from us in order to talk to us is for us to capitulate and bow in front of the symbols that represent our ethnic cleansing and the occupation of our country, then they should know that such thing will never happen.

The "trnc" does not represent TCs as a whole, but only those individuals that choose to associate with it. TCs are citizens of Republic of Cyprus, while the the so called "trnc" doesn't even claim to be a Cypriot, but instead a "Turkish Republic", created due to the illegal occupation of Cyprus by Turkey, and with the importation of many thousands of Turkish settlers.

If some(many/most) TCs choose to associate with the "trnc" that is their problem. Most Germans also supported the swastika during WWII, and this of course didn't mean that everybody else should respect that racist symbol. Respect to respectful TCs, definitely yes. Respect to symbols of crime and ethnic cleansing against us, never.

Bir! It is not very nice you going on like this about VP, when you are clearly ignoring the posts in the same thread by Sotos! Posts that would be highly insulting and offensive to many TCs in this forum (except yourself perhaps?).

No Bir! I must disagree with you on this occasion because many TCs are also likely to tell you "This is the kind of attitude from you which makes me suspect your motives and ur identity.." (as you put it).

Piratis, a question to you:

Are you and Sotos the same person? Please answer a simple Yes and No because I am not being sarcastic or anything!

By the way, TRNC is where all non-immigrant TCs are currently living, and they have no issues with where they live or specially their choice of a flag. Until a new flag becomes available that can be used by both sides as Cypriots, current one will prevail.

Hence, any insult or abuse addressed in that direction will be same as insulting every TC living in TRNC as well as MOST of those living outside. To be quite honest, with reactions like these I do not believe you are fit to be a moderator in this forum. Instead of trying to tell off the silliness we witness by so called Sotos in forum (that has otherwise settled down to a very civilised level), you are making excuses for them and encouraging more of the same abusive behaviour.

I do strongly wish that the admin of this forum carry out a better selection of their moderators...
