I had been trying to find entertainment to go to during my holiday in Lemesos.
I was with a group totalling 17, and we all went to see Esther at Curium. The production was excellent with a multinational cast, and a setting that it is hard to beat.
Then I saw the free concert to mark the closing of the old Harbour in Lemesos and managed to get 2 tickets.
I thought I had made a big mistake when I arrived just before 9.0p.m. to find most seats empty, we sat until about 9.40 when the speeches started.
An excellent firework display went on for about 10 minutes, and then Stefanos Korkolis came on stage.
His new work "Limanki" was fascinating and then we were treated to Mario Frangoulis and Crissie Bianco.
The last part of the work with Stefanos and Mario joining together was so powerful it made your skin tingle.
Later when trying to buy a CD or DVD of Mario, the assistant at Musical Express was amazed to hear that Mario and Stefanos had been appearing in Lemesos as he said he would have loved to hear them.
Now back in Hampshire with very happy memories.
