How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

EMINE ERK EVALUATES PROPERTY ISSUE

Postby halil » Fri Jun 22, 2007 6:54 am

The President of the Cyprus Turkish Human Rights Foundation Emine Erk has said that it was inevitable that the Greek Cypriot Administration’s violation of Turkish Cypriot People’s property rights will be exposed in the near future.
Speaking to the Greek Cypriot press, Mrs. Erk said that the European Court of Human Rights was currently evaluating an application filed by a Turkish Cypriot and was seeking the views of both sides on the issue.

Stating that the court will announce its decision on whether or not to accept the case, Mrs. Erk said that if the court does accept to take up the case, Turkish Cypriots will be able to apply directly to the European Court of Human Rights regarding their properties.

Pointing out that the foundation is currently in possession of 70 dossiers on Turkish Cypriot properties being used by the Greek Cypriot Administration and Greek Cypriot individuals, Emine Erk said that many people had applied to the Human Rights Foundation over the past three years.

She said that the foundation has identified a number of Turkish Cypriot owned properties in South Cyprus illegally expropriated by the Greek Cypriot Administration to build parking lots, roads, power plants, dams and industrial zones.

Halil, the difference between what the TCs do with our land and what we do with yours is we are short of land and the ROC does what it has to do with TC land when necessary. The "TRNC" on the other hand has such a "surplus" of land that it can import thousands of settlers and flog off our land cheaply to British thieves.

The expropriation of private land to build roads and everything else is illegal?

This Erk woman doesn't understand that by the minute a few TCs get the right to get back their properties they will be sued for using GC property in the occupied.

On the other hand I personally wish the TCs win this case. But remember my words of what will happen.
