i know this is along shot, my daughter left my digital camera in a car that we hired at larnaca airport last sunday at 9.30pm on the 10th june.
i am so sad about this,it contains hundreds of photos of my family on holidays,plus we came over to take some photos of our apartment so we could rent it out, all these are on there.
i really dont want to spend all that money on booking a flight for two days to take more pics.
well anyway as anyone by any chance seen it, or got the memory card?
ill give you a very good price for it.

you would be surprised how many things are handed in, its not like the UK.
people do hand things in here.

Cyprus is not like the UK - in fact there was only a letter in the Cyprus Mail a week or so ago from someone praising how their wallet had been handed into the police complete with all its' contents.

The first place you should start is by contacting the car hire company to see if they located the camera when the car was returned to them.

the car hire company was astra group,
yes ive called the car hire company several times and was told ring back when the manager is here, then told they had found it,then that they hadnt found it.
ive also emailed them 4 times but no reply.

Sounds a little odd, but unfortunately email is not always responded to here in Cyprus - or perhaps it is not checked as regularly as one would like....

I would be inclined to give them another call - either in the morning between 10am and 1pm or maybe after 4pm.

The other option may be to tell them you need to have a written reply so you can obtain a police report. If they do have the camera - postage may be expensive, depending on the weight of the camera and you will be expected to pay the cost of postage.

Did you travel independently or did you book your holiday with a tour operator as a package? If so, your tour op may be able to intervene and help you in your search. There may be a charge for them to do this but at least you may get your photos back.

i will ring again tomorrown,i did fly with a company but it was a flight only.
thanks for your advice i really appreciate it,only wish i had found this site 7 years ago when i bought my apartment.
