The new wave of immigrants starting from the late 60s todate , have however steadfastly refused not only to integrate but have also demanded most vociferously the acceptance of their culture and in many cases demanding social changes in order not to find them selves in a situation of feeling offended by social events that have shaped this country for many years. No one asked you to come to the UK , Indeed a very large part of you came here as illegal immigrants , bogus asylum seekers eager to risk your lives to enter the UK. Culture doesnt suit you , what a bloody shame , go back to where you came from , precisely the same right that I as an immigrant in the UK ALWAYS HAD.
Just before any one calls me a racist , let me tell you that I will defend such nonsense vigourously. The UK has been good to many many immigrants from the third world . As Tony Blair said some time ago , "you come here you have to abide by our rules and regulations " I did when I came here in 1961 and still do.

Well said Miltiades,I think you've summed it up to a T!!!! 10/10

What more need I say
"you come here you have to abide by our rules and regulations " Isn't what Tory Blair said the same thing.

Mitiades do you realise that This time next year you'll be sitting in a brit bar in pafos complaining about the price of baked beans and tetley tea bags' complaining about the heat and the standard of local industries whilst noticing an increase in the bloody wogs on the island.
Which bar shall we meet in? I know a great place in Paphos where they have the best collection of Rock Music on vynil.

Does 'Do as the Romans do' mean that if I move to a Muslim country, I should integrate and abide by their rules and regulations??? Yikes. :) Please come up with new analogy. You're scaring me.

Of course it does, what else do you expect? if I wasn't happy with the customs and culture of a country I certainly wouldn't want to reside there.
Yours must be the most stupid reply in this thread so far.
The only reason that you and and the Talebans favourite female person don't like the "When In Rome" analogy is there is no answer against it which makes it all the harder for you to swallow.

And how many from the UK may I ask smuggle them selves in Pakistan , Afghanistan , Bangladesh etc etc in order that they may have the privilege of free health service , free education for their off springs , housing and child benefit as well as the opportunity to live and work in a democracy where freedom of speech , dress and faith are protected by the law and are the direct results of the millions that lost their lives in two world wars fighting for freedom and free speech. The immigrants who arrive here , come for one thing and one thing only. The Brits who emigrate to other nations , generally tend to go to places where their comforts and lifestyle are similar to the UK , therefore highly unlikely that you will find Brits retiring in Syria , Iran , Pakistan Bangladesh , Thailand , Sierra Leone , Ivory Coast , Sudan etc etc.

As far as anyone from the West adopting cultures that , perfectly normal in some countries they may be well be , utterly repugnant to some in the West , ie skinning dogs and cats alive , eating the brains of monkeys while alive , the consideration that the honour of an entire family is vested between the legs of a female etc etc , and only the cruel act of killing the offending female restores the honour back to the family , forced marriages etc etc. No thanks baby , you stick your culture where the sun doesn't shine .

Au contraire...or should I say Oh contrary one :)

I absolutely agree that Muslims should try a lot harder to integrate in western countries if they decide to move there. I abhor the political correctness I see going on with regard to all this BS about offending people. But from reading the English papers, a lot of it is the fault of self-righteous barmy officials who often take the initiative on their own.
That pisses of Britons and often causes a backlash against Muslims, who further retreat into their own communities.

I think everyone should integrate like the Brits of the empire did in India, Cyprus, and where ever else they built their little mini Britains around the world. They were so integrated it was hard to tell them apart from the natives after decades of colonial rule ;)

And when Brits and other country expats go to work in Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries (by choice) they always integrate by living in those walled compounds drinking their areses off.

BTW Who is the taleban's favourite female person? I thought they hated women ;)

Sadly so true, the loony left set about doing anything controversial just to get publicity for their egos, the silent majority now have to pick up the tab.

miltiades, why is it that you have to present yourself as the epitome of all that is right in any exchange?, you persistently refer to the quotations of discredited politicians, you support the vile actions of the very people who have slaughtered countless innocents and condemn any who are opposed to your opinions.

The only contribution you seem capable of making, lies in your extraordinary habit of insulting people and resorting to foul language.

Look up your past posts, I urge you, you will see the evidence.
