With all this talk of women; is it true that the first prayer said by an orthodox Jew when he rises in the morning is "I thank God that I was not born a woman". Can anybody shed any light on this?

In 2003 during a holiday in Turkey a muslim recruiter used to stand at the entrance of our hotel trying to recruit converts to islam, he left us alone when I told him that I would not consider joining any religion jewish or muslim that classed women as second class citizens; he never approached us after that.

Today an MP has stated his intention to resign his seat, he was the UKs first muslim MP, the reason that he resigned was because of the threats that he and his family received from the asian/muslim community for helping to bring muslim racist murderers to justice after they had fled to pakistan (this must have taken place with the help of the muslim community).
Pakistan is the main training camp for most of the muslim terrorists including the July London suicide bombers.
With the ever increasing amount of disturbing news about the asian muslims I get more drawn and sympathetic to the British National Party who at least are not afraid to call a spade a spade.
These (muslims) are the people who would rule us.

to all who think islam opress the women,

there was refrence given by one brother/sister from a Saudi national that islam allows the women to be beaten like a goat,

it is totaly wrong, there is no such punishment for women, islam does not allow to beat women

Prophet Muhammad PBUH said, they are the best amongest you who is best with their wives.

some of you are talking baseless things, i chalenge you to find me the refrence from Quran and Hadith where Islam says to beat their women like a goat,

it is my humble request to those who have wrong information about Islam that please find the refrence from The Quran or Hadith before blaiming the religion of Peace,

Islam comes out from the root world salam which mean peace

Islam mean acquiering the peace by submitting the will to Almighty God

some of you may not aware what do we muslims have concept of God

The Quran 112: 1-4

1-Say, he is Allah(God) one and only,

2-he is Eternal, Absolute.

3- he begets not, nor was he begotten

4- And there is none like co-equal or compareable unto him


this is the four line defination, this is the touch stone of theology, if anyone claim to be God shoud pass the test,

in short there is no one beside Allah(God) can past the test,


you should open you mind and do positive criticism, first read the scripture, anylize it critically and verify it with the information that you got,

you will not find a single pricipal of Islam against the humanity as a whole.

In Islam man and women have equal rights but diffrent duties becuse the are diffrent in nature, as you dont put man and women togather in 100 meter sprint, because in Islam man is the resposible to feed, to cloth and to acccomdate the women therfore he is like a gaurdian,

Islam says " the Heaven lies beneth the feet of Mother"

it means the one who is not good to his mother can not enter heaven, this not all i have explained because how much a man can explain,

Islam uplift the women, there were practice of burrying the daughters and many other pratices but islam objected and uplift them women,

Religion is a sprirtual thing not physical, you don't race around church.
The answer regarding the beating of women was given out by muslim religeuos leaders within the last 5 years; are you a recognised official of you religion? if not how do we know that you speak for your religion?.
Why are women not allowed in male areas of your mosques? In the UK there is a growing movement amongst muslim women regarding the sexism that exists in your religion, they are demanding to be allowed into all areas of mosques.
In Iran women are berated and arrested for dressing how they wish to dress, neither you nor anyone else has a right to tell my Wife or any other woman how to dress.
It seems to me that your own religion is in dispute with itself over so many issues regarding the religion of islam, therefore I think that it would be better if you concetrated your efforts in sorting out your own religion before tying to convert us to such a mixed up state of affairs

I think the same things in the UK were called Gentlemens clubs and the fight to allow all women into say Golf clubs is going on even today so I would think twice about condemning one culture above another because of religion.

Which would you say is the fairer. On the one hand you have religious persecution and on the other deliberate discrimination. I think the comparison is very apt in all cases. They both have just a name of the persecutors between them. One says that women have a certain role in society and the other that they are not equal in ability so what is the difference but words.

Zan , please man , try and understand. One is a gentlemens club that requires all participants to be members and excludes the female gender.The other is a universal non- membership religious sect.

Hello Zan,

The gentlemen's club is a social club whereas religion is a societal institution. On their faces, both may discriminate, but before you condemn one or the other, their purposes/intents and the damage they do to the good of society should be considered. Discrimination is not always bad. I teach my children to choose their friends with discrimination, meaning to choose friends who will make them better people as opposed to choosing friends who will make them degenerates.

One says that women have a certain role in society and the other that they are not equal in ability so what is the difference but words.

The former may be true, but the latter merely celebrates the differences between men and women, just as the Garden Club and Ladies' Club do.
