Hi folks, another newby here. Brian, currently living in England (Norwich) and waiting for the day to come when I (and of course wife plus one-maybe two - daughters) can move to Cyprus. Eldest daughter delaying the move as she wants to get settled in Uni or a job before we sell up. Youngest (11) can't wait, loves the island and people as much as we do. Bought a small place in Neapolis (Limassol) a couple of years back and visit whenever we can, not nearly often enough but you all know what the fares are like.

Know the island fairly well, was lucky enough to get two 3 year postings up at Troodos and lived in Platres for one and Trimiklini for the other. Favorite past time, apart from Keo, was hashing with AH3. Usual pub is the Ploughmans, hope to get to know you all over the coming months. Any leads on getting a job very welcome, in IT as a hardware consultant at the mo but frankly it bores me to tears, I'd much rather run a bar. Still have plenty of friends up in Platres and Limassol so still feel at home as soon as we arrive.

As a protocol thing, is it OK to refer to places by the old anglicised names (Limassol, Nicosia etc etc) or is it regarded as bad manners?
