Good to see your alive and breathing VP, after all you are a human being and that is a good thing :)
Glad you noticed, we like everyone else want to live in peace and prosperity without being dominated by GCs we have learned our lessons well from the passed and do not want to go down that route ever again, there is a saying "süten yanan üfleyerek içer" stright translation is once burnt by milk you tend to blow before you drink or the equivelent in English would be once bitten twice shy.

People have to realize that these TCs have to be taken seriously and we cannot just push them to one side, if we as the recognized part of Cyprus do not take the lead to use all our resources in proving and showing TCs that their future lays with us then we have no chance of ever finding a solution. It appears that due to the inflexibility of both sides and the unwillingness to compromise the current stalemate will continue and the only options left will be Recognition vs Swing in Power.
Glad to see a note of "reconciliation " creeping in to your posts.
You appear to be obsessed by "G/C " domination , what exactly do you mean by domination. The fact that the majority of Cypriots are G/Cs can not be challenged or amended , does not mean that the law will treat the G/Cs differently than the T/Cs any more than the British law would treat me , a tiny minority , differently from the English . There are in Cyprus perhaps as many Europeans , Russians etc as there are T/Cs if not more in fact. In years to come demographics will take a new meaning but the law of the land with its EU connection will be supreme and accountable to the EU legal directives. I frankly can not understand a man born in the UK , returning to Cyprus as an adult and yet totaly obsessed with G/C domination. I would examine my self if I were you , were you bullied in England at school for instance ?

Good morning Miltiades; Personally I, was never bullied in England, but we (TCs) were bullied in the Republic!! I know you did not ask me, but what the hell. Gotta talk to my mate!

VP, no one has ever said that you are not human beings like everybody else. And you have every right to live and prosper in a society that is peaceful and just. No one is denying that. You are also invited to join the rest of Cypriot society and share the whole Island as you have just as much right to it as any other Cypriot.

As far as being dominated by Greek speaking Cypriots I disagree. In the 1960's constitution which is currently innactive, there are safeguards in place that you are represented according to the percentage of your population. Upon unification I hope that these measures are implemented to ensure you have equal rights, and representation as per the population.

I don't understand your last sentence, but there are many options that we could look at. I am sure

Hi TC your right about reading all posts. Especially if you have to earn your crust of bread. Some replies are so long, you need to lock yourself away to read it in peace and then respond in a sensible manner. That is if you have not got a headache. When you get back, you have a hundred more all over again. I am loving it. I am sure I'll have more time if I retired now!

Hey,t_c....Didn't know u were in Cyprus....Looking forward to ur detailed posts regarding life in the Trnc...I have one special request...Talk to as many people as you can about the settlers and their effect on the TC culture and identity, and let us all know what people say on the ground...But u r not allowed to speak to VP on that subject....we already know what he thinks...
In fact, better not to speak to VP at all....lest he recruits you too to the trnc propaganda department!

Birkibrisli, my uncle and aunt were in Cyprus just very recently and they caught up with a Turkish speaking Cypriot friend of theirs, they were told by him and his family that there are many problems in relation to settlers and Turkish speaking Cypriots. Specifically in relation to property and the unfairness felt by Turkish speaking Cypriots by the leaderships freebies to settlers, he was very angry. He also pointed out that there are quite a lot of Turkish speaking Cypriots who feel apathy towards settlers.

I trust my uncle.
