We have suffered under the Turks for centuries, something that continues until today, and the Turks killed 10s of thousands and ethnically cleansed 100s of thousands of Greek Cypriots. What of the above is "over inflated" Zan?
What is over inflated are your lame excuses. You had a mere few 100s of casualties over a mere decade, and you are trying to make that sound as the most terrible thing that ever happened in Cyprus to excuse even more crimes against us, as if the 10s of thousands of GCs that you butchered, the 100s of thousands that you ethnically cleansed and the 100s of years that you oppressed us do not count
Well done Piratis - you did not forget the "ethnic cleansing" this time. Have you considered making a template with that paragraph, so that you can copy and paste it in every post? I have personally given up arguing with you on those lines, which you clearly have a very fixed opinion of. They are questionable but questioninig or offering you more accurate information on various subjects clearly will not change your way of thinking.
More importantly, this line of argument about being the victim of TCs (?) is just as fanatic as any others' criticised by some, who applaud or praise your repetitive comments! AND it is not the way to go round finding a solution to Cyprus problem...
I think I'll go and make some coffee now - it's been a hard day!
Do we need to remind some people how badly they were oppressed under the Latins and the Catholic church. How conveniently they forget that it was the Ottomans who gave the local inhabitants their church back and ended the Latin churches supremacy over the local christians. Its been discussed or mentioned so many times by others on the forum. The Ottomans ended "Serfdom". Go and check your sources.
I have just remembered that is was one of the greek ministers of the Ottomans that begged Selim II to invade Cyprus in 1571.
Why has Piratis stopped using his over inflated numbers.
