Look who is talking about over inflated numbers.

We have suffered under the Turks for centuries, something that continues until today, and the Turks killed 10s of thousands and ethnically cleansed 100s of thousands of Greek Cypriots. What of the above is "over inflated" Zan?

What is over inflated are your lame excuses. You had a mere few 100s of casualties over a mere decade, and you are trying to make that sound as the most terrible thing that ever happened in Cyprus to excuse even more crimes against us, as if the 10s of thousands of GCs that you butchered, the 100s of thousands that you ethnically cleansed and the 100s of years that you oppressed us do not count

Someone said I have many goats. Another one said I have many goats too. And another said I have many goats.
A fourth person jumped in and said I have maaany goats.

This is what was happening in a primitive society in fact nobody knew what "many" actually meant. Until people invented numbers

Piratis- You know what he is talking about. Your official motto for the GCs: 200.000 refugees, 6000 dead (!!!). What happened to those figures, cat got your tongue? 8)

Well done Piratis - you did not forget the "ethnic cleansing" this time. Have you considered making a template with that paragraph, so that you can copy and paste it in every post?

I have personally given up arguing with you on those lines, which you clearly have a very fixed opinion of. They are questionable but questioninig or offering you more accurate information on various subjects clearly will not change your way of thinking.

More importantly, this line of argument about being the victim of TCs (?) is just as fanatic as any others' criticised by some, who applaud or praise your repetitive comments! AND it is not the way to go round finding a solution to Cyprus problem...

I think I'll go and make some coffee now - it's been a hard day! :D

Do we need to remind some people how badly they were oppressed under the Latins and the Catholic church. How conveniently they forget that it was the Ottomans who gave the local inhabitants their church back and ended the Latin churches supremacy over the local christians. Its been discussed or mentioned so many times by others on the forum. The Ottomans ended "Serfdom". Go and check your sources.
I have just remembered that is was one of the greek ministers of the Ottomans that begged Selim II to invade Cyprus in 1571.

Why put ethnic cleansing in speech marks? Do you know what ethnic cleansing means? Are you still too afraid to submit to the TRUTH that the Turkish army and Turkish Cypriot paramilitaries ethnically cleansed the north of Cyprus.

What is fanatical is the consistant ideas by Turkish Cypriots such as yourselves that their community has and will always be innocent. Total BULLSHIT! They, along with the Turkish army, raped, murdered and ethnically cleansed in the invasion. They also kept up the air of violance in the 1960's with the Greek Cypriot community to realise their goal of aparthaid. Why do you continually try to play the victim? - its pittyfull.

Do we also need to remind people how the Ottoman Empire hanged Archbishop Kyprianos on 9 July 1821, as well as beheading 486 Christians including bishops, clergymen and prominent citizens. PLEASE stop trying to make out the Ottoman Empire and Turkey is innocent, the WHOLE of the Middle East knows the truth.
